I think that it's really a sad indicator of the times we live in , when young people blindly take the word of a site like Snopes for their fact checking, when it's been proven that Snopes is no more reliable (and often not AS reliable as) a good encyclopedia. Look in the actual newspapers from the times that you are talking about! Learn to do REAL research, on your own. BE CRITICAL thinkers, not just blind leading the blind, like lemmimgs into the sea. Wake UP!
