Waffler off base again. The comment is about the damage of government control. Freedom of thought, school choice is the issue. The author is on target.

In current times we have decided that providing education is the greater good when in fact providing freedom of education is paramount.

Unfortunately the liberal judges feel they are allowed to ignore the intent and reinterpret as they see fit. In effect rewriting the constitution from the bench without a constitutional amendment nor a vote of the people.

Waffler thinks big goverrnment is a like a benevolent dictator. The truth is big government has the same motives of greed for money and power. Worse it has the ability to expand its greed and influence over the individual to a greater degree than any other entity.

Friedman was always able to breakdown the liberal argument and explain the benefits of markets in an easy to understand logic. That was his true genius.

Exactly, use the collective brain power of all the people. Not the intellectual arrogance of an individual.

This is a take on Ben Franklin's quote that those who give up liberty for security end up with neither. There is no greater good than individual freedom.

Keynesian policy has been an utter failure each and every time it has been implimented. It only increases govenrment control over individuals and business and leaves nations poorer for it.

This quote applies perfectly to Obamacare, SS and Medicare. All blatant attacks on freedom under the guise of doing what is best for you. Rather than just helping those in need, what it really does is force an entire population into indentured servitude to the ruling political class.

The constitution was the most well thought out document for governing ever created. It took people like this to justify subsidizing non productive activity, creating huge amounts of public debt and stripping individual liberties of americans. Our worst enemy is from within.
