Hey Waffler, the Bush tax cuts encouraged people to buy more and to invest more. Each time they bought something they payed more taxes. Each time they made money on their investments they paid more taxes. It's called a "tax multiplier" where you lower the taxes and encourage consumer spending. That's economics 101. In the end, the government brought in more money with the Bush tax cuts than it did without them.

When the government trespasses on your rights and takes from you to give to others, there are only two things, other than God Almighty Himself, that can save your life and liberty. Those two things are your own two hands. And I don't know about you, but when that day comes I prefer my hands to be filled with a gun. "I'll fight til from my bones, my flesh be hacked."

I forgot to rate the quote. I give it 5 stars. And one other thing, I'm tired of these guys saying the white race owes the black race for 200 years of slavery. No white American alive has ever owned a slave and no living black American has ever been a slave. Nothing is owed, we are on an even keel.

These guys that the wise Mr. Washington is speaking of like Jesse Jackson and Sharpton are just trying to make a name for themselves. They sit back and look for a place to scream racism so that they can fight the good fight and be remember like the great Dr. King. Or I'm sure he would rather me call him Rev. King.

This is a great quote that show's Jefferson's feelings about the idea of redistribution of wealth. He's saying that it is wrong to take from the rich and give to the poor and I agree. AND NO I AM NOT RICH.

God gave us two hands to remind us that nothing of worth can ever be captured single-handedly. Help is a necessity of liberty, not a hindrance.

Liberty is too great to be captivated alone. We must all depend on each other to uphold each other's rights, to fight for the liberties of those who can't. More importantly, we must depend on God, for all liberty comes from Him. I know the buddists don't believe it but its true. Liberty is absent if it is not the will of the Almighty.
