ernie1241, you took most of the words out of my mouth! To add a bit of info, the "doses of Socialism" quote was created by the John Birch Society in 1960, as a hoax on the public. I agree with what Montana Senator stated before Congress at the time: "Whoever created this quotation and...knowing it to be spurious, nevertheless disseminate it, are cut from the same cloth as Communists and Fascists." I have that book, too (note, Dr. Boller is Professor of History, Emeritus, Texas Christian University, and Dr. George is Professor of Political Science and Sociology at Central State university, OK). The more of these phony right-wing quotes we can debunk, the less people will be misled by falsehoods. And some may come to realize the Right Wing can't make a case without lying. But the next poster will say he/she doesn't care if the quote was false. That's what they always say when their fallacies are exposed. Never let the truth get in your way, right?

Phony quotes, like this one and the cited by "frank" fraudulent Krushchev "doses of Socialism" quote created by the John Birch Society in 1960, are a hoax on the public. I agree with what Montana Senator stated before Congress at the time: "Whoever created this quotation and...knowing it to be spurious, nevertheless disseminate it, are cut from the same cloth as Communists and Fascists." Consider this, those who say you don't care if the quote is real, and consider the way you regard its source here.
