Who is the government representing now? The government now is pulling the greatest robbery on the American People in history. You guys are going to be broke when the dust settles. Guess who`ll have all the money by then. Reply Tony D., Toronto 11/20/08 re: Abraham Kaplan quote Strangely enough, this reminds me of Bernanke and the FED today. The only thing they know is printing money. You give them the printing presses...you know the rest. Reply Tony D., Toronto 11/19/08 re: John F. Kennedy quote Waffler, I think we're rating the quote or the idea, not whether the person saying it did what he preached. Personally I don't like Kennedy, but some of his ideas were great, even though there was a lot of other stuff that I'm completely opposed to.Ideas are there so that one day, maybe you and I can put them into action. They survive time and people. I am not for mindless action, and the very word "idea" requires a thinking process. Reply Tony D., Toronto 11/19/08 re: John F. Kennedy quote Waffler, you should try and do some brain exercises, because you really need them. Reply Tony D., Toronto 11/12/08 re: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. quote Waffler, it is always economics. The British Empire was too overstretched to keep the Indians under control, not enough money. It's always economics, that's why we fight wars, and the reason we make peace. That's history, if you want to learn from it, and escape the utopia. If there's not going to be violence and not feeling threatened why give up power. American Civil Rights movement wasn't without riots or threat of unrest. That costs economic resources. The media always discounts the violence and overwhelmingly praises non-violence. That's why Americans are going to endure (most probably are) an era of fascism, because the new generation is a product of the media, and through the media of the government. Watch MTV, everything gets done by flowers and kisses. You want to non-violently protest, you can go to "Free speech zones". Goebbels would envy you guys. May I remind you freedom is not free! And by that, I don't mean the war in Iraq or some fake wars your government sends you to die. Reply Tony D., Toronto 11/11/08 re: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. quote Yeah, right Archer. That's why the first thing totalitarian regimes do is disarm the people. Non-violence never wins, just economic/exogenous factors win. Like the USSR, it collapsed because of the economy whereas, the US independence was violent, on the other hand. There's no instance where non-violence in itself has yielded positive results. Reply Tony D., Toronto 11/11/08 re: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. quote Tyrants, dictators and the like would love non-violent people. It's easy to do their thing without having to watch their back. Violence will die when life on this planet dies. 2 Reply Tony D., Toronto 10/17/08 re: John Maynard Keynes quote Can't you people read the quote?! Or is it just a Pavlovian response to the name Keynes?! Keynes is telling the truth that fiat money system is a fraud. SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
