Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/18/18 re: Ronald Reagan quote It's really stupid when you think he didn't even write it! get out of your bubble and join the real people.... The revolution is coming... 2Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/18/18 re: Margaret Thatcher quote Archer, I believe you are the one which speaks out of both sides of your mouth - the remark alone proves it! 3Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/17/18 re: Karl Marx quote Yes, Karl Marx was a saint - his philosophy was twisted and used in the negative. Mike, I know you said you read his works, if you had then you would know Marx was a true person for world peace. Instead of this war machine you all worship.... 1Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/17/18 re: Karl Marx quote The biggest benefactors of socialism in the US is the Pentagon, the banks, and the corporate boardrooms (they are the biggest welfare recipients $trillions) and you talk about socialism, give me a break - you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. The MIC loses the accountability for $2 trillion in a fake bomb attack on the pentagon and your complaining and getting angry over peanuts. Soon you will be chipped like your dogs and then you will say what happened to out freedom and liberty. So, wake-up and bring back a real world to America unless the one you currently have is to your liking. 3Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/17/18 re: Karl Marx quote True socialism is the key to peace not the faux socialism of the left. 11Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/16/18 re: Ayn Rand quote This is another example of how a great word "Altruism" and its meaning is turn around to be a negative. The media has done this to the word "Liberal" and "Left" - we have three people who have as much wealth as 50 percent of our population and look up to them as Gods. The recent tax legislation for the rich could have provided shelter for the poor and given food to the starving, and help rebuild our infrastructure - when you pull the chain think of America.... Altruism does not need Stalin to succeed 2Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/16/18 re: Ronald Reagan quote The less said about his presidency the better. The list is to long for this page but is you are interested let me know. Also, I doubt very much if he came up with this quote, though Nancy may well have. Of course there are limits to growth on a finite planet - this has been the problem with his ilk . 3Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/16/18 re: Margaret Thatcher quote A match made in heaven Thatcher and Regan. Though a tough and formidable lady made some really dumb decisions. One that nearly put paid to her positon was a household head tax (Poll Tax) - she quickly rescinded that one. They may run out of other peoples money but at least they don't give to the already rich who never let it trickle down. Here are some of the reason Thatcher was hated:She supported the retention of Capital PunishmentShe destroyed Britain’s manufacturing industry and her policies led to mass unemploymentShe presided over interest rates of 15%She voted against the relaxation of divorce lawsShe abolished free milk for School ChildrenShe precipitated a Social Housing crisis still being felt todayThe Poll TaxShe sowed the seeds of NHS PrivatisationSection 28 – Thatchers quiet homophobia? The Irish Hunger Strikes Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 1/11/18 re: Robert G. Ingersoll quote Yes, there is little or no distinction between those seeking salvation and those who shop in the center isles. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/20/17 re: Ayn Rand quote I could think of much better examples of the arrested moral devolvement of mankind.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/20/17 re: Hannah Arendt quote 100 percent correct! It is an obvious observation as nothing can retain an increase indefinitely. This is the problem with our society where we must always get more and more stuff. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/20/17 re: Don Luskin quote Never let a CPA become the CEO.... 2 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/20/17 re: John Adams quote Though I agree, nothing is lost forever, as forever never happens. Liberty can never be post forever.... It may seem that way, but in its ashes there is always a smoldering ember of the love for freedom... 2Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/20/17 re: Harry Browne quote What a dumb statement! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/15/17 re: Robert C. Savage quote There is a very thin line between civilization and barbarism and it is easily triggered. LA riots come to mind... It begs the question, did we really leave the cave... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/14/17 re: Thomas I. Emerson quote Yes, those rights remain whether they are exercised as good or bad. And this quote perfectly explains the philosophy of Freedom of expression. 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/14/17 re: Granville Hicks quote Censorship is created not for moral reasons but for the manipulation of the truth. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/14/17 re: Gilbert Keith Chesterton quote Yes, we have much to thank Edward Bernays. We no longer have news sent to us via papers or television, we have entertainment (propaganda) via the industrial military complex and the corporate elite. If you want real news you must search for it and/or rely on known resources that are independent of corporate America. There are a number of very good journalist that are not part of MSM, like Noam Chomsky, etc..... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the US 6/13/17 re: Rick Gaber quote I'm sorry, but it's a silly quote - inverted snobbery!
