How true, as evidenced by Republicans providing the USA with a socialist president. And now they scratch their heads trying to figure out how to take the power back, though they're equally culpable and as sinister as the Democrats, save but a few.

Robert Edwards, St. Emilion, France

We don't need to give our enemies the means for our destruction, we are quite capable doing it to ourselves - we are our own enemy..... The two parties are the same and until we have proportional representation nothing will change - campaign reform would help also.... i.e., take money out of politics.... and no revolving doors.... Politics in America is totally corrupt... And the boardrooms are filled with greedy, conniving, corrupt, pathological, overweight, individuals... If you have any integrity whatsoever you will soon be posted to some obscure location..

Unfortunately Mr. Edwards there is plenty of corruption and self-imposed national suicide to go around. Plenty of criticism for American politics that I cannot disagree with, but this was foreseen by our founders when they created our Constitution to be a limited small government. But when the government grows beyond its constitutional legal limits by corrupt and socialist-minded men, you are going to have corruption, it's inevitable. Now we have corporations getting in bed with big government "crony capitalism."
But I must add that France has also engaged in self destruction by importing Islamic Jihad under the guise of multiculturalism and the diversity scam that you are now finding to have been a BIG mistake, good luck undoing it forward as it is happening in the US as well, I believe this is not by accident but rather design.
Since America's founding as a constitutional republic we have had one constitution, this cannot be said for France I'm afraid. Corruption knows no borders for it is merely human nature and the natural law consequences of that fallen nature.

"Democracy will soon degenerate into an anarchy; such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes and no man's life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure, and every one of these will soon mould itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few." -- John Adams, An Essay on Man's Lust for Power (1763)

Too often throughout history we see the liberated oppress others as their ancestors had been oppressed. Building a bomb increases the chance that it is going to be used -- and there is no guarantee what the future target will be!

A life of complete security without ever having to fight for one's own survival is a Utopian dream -- Nature shows no evidence of such a promise.

@Mike, Pleasant Hill, well said!

As a religious assembly, the royal heirs to the King of Eternity once embraced individual sovereignty, inalienable rights and liberty at nature's law, WE have given our enemies the means of our own destruction. The occupying statist theocracy now infesting this land has, with a religious fervor and methodology, corrupted man's minds, souls and beings with its/their religions of violence, destruction, immorality, and a prideful ignorance. The united enemy of my enemy, being my friend has/have together plucked the eagle's plumb.
