Andrew Jackson Quote

“I am one of those who do not believe that a national debt is a national blessing, but rather a curse to a republic; inasmuch as it is calculated to raise around the administration a moneyed aristocracy dangerous to the liberties of the country.”

in a letter to T. H. Colman, 26 April 1824

I give the Republicans and Democrats as proof of this very accurate sentiment.

J Carlton, Calgary

The National Debt is part of an artificial system designed to keep you in perpetual servitude. People need to stop and ask themselves, to whom is this debt owed? It is entirely contrived.

cal, lewisville, tx

I've always wondered who runs this country. Those elected or those appointed.

E Archer, NYC

Mike is right -- left and right do not matter -- either you are with the System or against it. Carlton is right on -- the 'debt' is an illusion -- the point is domination of the world, and the 'debt' is simply the money supply -- the taxes they take are to keep the People in check and enslaved. The people who run the country (world) are those that create out of thin air the money supplies of all the nations.

Ken, Allyn, WA

It's hard to tell who is bribing whom and which is blackmailing the other anymore. Government, corporations, non-governmental organizations, and wild-eyed ideologues of all kinds are an incestuous bunch, and they're all out to screw the rest of us.

Al Breen, N. Haledon, N.J.

I believe that when we elect politicians we should HIDE the check book. I also do not think that we have BUSINESSMEN in office or we would not have the deficites that we do. When a BUSINESSMAN or woman has a zero balance in our check book we STOP writing checks.

Elisabeth, Astoria, NY

America needs the Founding Fathers back.

John Foster Douglass, NYC, NY

In 1835, Old Hickory managed to reduce the federal debt to only $33,733.05, the lowest it had been since the first fiscal year of 1791. President Jackson is the only president in United States history to have paid off the national debt entirely. It was short lived due to the economic collapse in 1837-1844 and increased 10 fold.

The mysteries of liberty and freedom as set forth in the book of laws and commandments. This rock the Old 66, upon which the republic rest. There are thirteen points of judgement concerning a man that will ( lend ) to his fellow neighbor. A brother or sister of a nation under these laws of liberty, may not own or comet usery against one another, but must with open hand give to his brother or sistery in need. As a nation governed by these laws, concerning the rich and the poor, usery is practiced upon the stranger of our nation not upon its children in any way. The rich in our nation receive there wealth by God therefore with open hand should they give in support of there brothers and sisters of this nation. Inheritance or heritage of one generation to the next. In the form of land and title or wealth, is to be released every seven years and every fifty years returning all ownership to the family or individual . One can barrow against his property but no usery can or should be levied against him or her being a child of this nation. With the fifty year release of debt ensuring to each generation there home and place in this nation for there heritage to be passed down from generation to generation. This form of freedom and liberty is ordained by God giving us the right to do that which is right by the people standing in one accord with God. President Andrew Jackson though he was made prejudice toward the natives by his mother because of there families deaths .should not take away from the Words of Truth he stood so strongly for.

Many people do not realize that each and every individual and those yet to be born in the U.S. are the collateral for all the unsustainable debt created by using the un-backed and corrupt Fiat monetary system.
That is why our sensible, wise and historically wise founders placed Article 1, Section 8, Clause 5 into the U.S. Constitution that stated the money should be "Coined."
