It's always the "True Believers" who cause all the trouble.

Jung did turn to his treatment of alcoholics with religious experience as a last resort. Bringing about AA. He also observed the importance of religion to the individual, and how the state as with Germany became the god, and practiced Threskeia religion, marginalizing the individual. Bringing about the demoralizing of the people and the eventual fall of Hitler's Germany. Jung's take on idealism is another issue.

bad for who ? "Every" is a very limiting term. Who's measuring standard is here defining "bad".

An idealism of mine is freedom and liberty with justice for all, at natural law. In the back of my mind, the ringing aphorism says "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

Well said Mike ! Thus sayeth the " Amen "
