Right on Mr. Bowles! Unfortunately not enough people know beans about politics, so you can see where that leaves us. There are just too many stupid people for Democracy.

... or to anyone! Government IS too big -- it has been gradually taking over the personal responsibilities of the citizens. Citizens will have to re-assume responsibility for themselves and cut the government out of it. We may not be sure that is what Bowles has in mind, though ... However, leaving government to the politicians is to put the fox in charge of the hen house.
