"We the People" -- I can think of no other country's constitution that starts with these words -- a very important distinction. The US Constitution is what grants power to the government -- it does not tell the People what they may do.

One of the best Quotes (Statements) in History. Although the word united is spelled incorrectly on the quote. The u is not capitalized on the original it should be written as "... united States ..." not "... United States ..."

Thank you Mark, all most always overlooked is the de-emphasizing of united in the organized States. Also in the body of the Constitution, the individuals placed their hand in seal stating: "We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America,..." It is the individual that has primary sovereignty, then the States by right of their position to the sovereign, then least of all the national entity that unites the States. There is no de jure federal crimes (unless dealing specifically with the nation as a whole) nor common law, nor can there be as established by the several Republics united. AND, to promote the general welfare does not mean steal from the rich to give to the poor, entangle ourselves in foreign wars, national health care, IDs, forced charity, or compelled compliance of any kind.

Thanks, Mark. However, 'United' is capitalized in the Constitution -- check out one of the many scans available. The word united is not capitalized in the Declaration of Independence however. Please provide a link to a scan of the Constitution that shows that the word United is not capitalized, if you'd like. Cheers.

The Constitution is the beginning of a federalized United States (indeed, United is capitalized). Federalizing was perhaps the biggest mistake ever made (made at the behest of bankers). Every point made against federalizing in the Anti-Federalist papers has been vindicated by time and history and eventually led to a civil war that killed 600,000. But what's a few deaths when there's money to be made.

Europe's federation is also a mistake. Centralizing power in a few hands always leads to slavery of the people to elites. You are partly correct. There may have been no other option given the debt, but that doesn't make it a good outcome for freedom. Debt is always indentured servitude.

From the day we were created we began to die. The R and D party system has subverted this Constitution to the point where our nation is dead. All have rebelled against the Constitution, a violation of the 14th amendment, and no longer eligible to hold office. Now concerning placement of exaction, Deu 15:1 thru 18. And for a person to lend without usury, Psalm 37:26, 112:5, Proverbs 19:17.
Befitting for the day, I ran away from home twice when I was 3, and once when I was 13. Also befitting for the day 2015, Proverbs 15:20, A wise son maketh a glad father.
