Victimless crime / compelled compliance are sins the government should not be participating in, worse yet, protecting and promoting. The sovereign's sin is his own and does not warrant governmental attention until it violates another.

That is why the nation will only be as great as the individuals that compose it. Each of us is responsible for the condition and the quality of the republic. If we let Truth, Love, and Courage be our inner guide, the outer manifestation of our system of government will reflect that. When we are ready, that is the kind of government we will have.
