In the end, Religion will kill us all.” ~ Ed Krebs Genocide , Religion Ratings and Comments Reply TED C., Diamond Bar 9/12/13 Truer words never spoken! Reply Pamela Shotton, Manchester, UK 9/12/13 One of the best quotes to date, so true & accurate. It is religious warfare. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 9/12/13 Reply Mike, Norwalk 9/12/13 Way to much truth there ! but, I'm not quite so fatalistic. Even religion's most radical extremes of Atheism, Christianity, Islam, Satanism, Socialism, etc. have and will leave some in their killing fields. Lenin / Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the lying assassin hasn't killed us all (-; YET ;-) In the discussion of killing us all, we have to keep in the forefront the pure psychos (with a blood lust as are so now politically prevalent), they having no guiding conscious or moral dogma. Reply SCSURFR, La Mirada 9/12/13 Religion kills no one. However, human claims to have insight into God’s mind and intentions have often resulted in disagreements where one attempts through force to implement that claim (in the name of God) which has sometimes resulted in violence. Christ gives us a choice and asks us if we will follow Him. Men have at times decided that was a mandate, but that would be putting words into Christ’s mouth that I can’t find in the Scriptures. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/12/13 Religion Kills No One? What? Where have you been my friend? The Rebels in Syria..."radically religious Muslims" are killing Christians as fast as they can get their hands on them. The history of Christianity is also swimming in blood...Don't get me wrong, I'm all about individual rights and that includes the right to worship...but let's not kid ourselves...people have used religion as an excuse to kill since...forever. Reply Robert, Chula Vista, CA 9/12/13 Mr. Carlton, You are correct when you say "people have used religion as an excuse to kill." I do not like the word "religion." It is a substitute for the real deal. What is the real deal? Jesus Christ is. His teachings teach peace. He was executed by the religious of His day. Nevertheless, He taught forgiveness. "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you." (Matt. 5:44) Do those sound like the words of a warmonger? Read all of chap. 5. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. I speak from personal experience. What if the government of the nation of which I am a citizen asks me to take up arms and go to war? Well.......that is a separate issue. Reply Brooks, Hartwell, Ga. 9/13/13 Reply SCSURFR, La Mirada 9/16/13 Thank you for making my point. "...people have used religion as an excuse to kill since...forever." - J Carlton. It is not true of religion any more than the gun that kills. People will resort to the tools that best serve them. SaveOk2 SaveOk2 View CommentsClick to view or comment.
