Before the deprecation of feedom can occur, the deprecation of individual life and its eternal value must occur first.

Message to RBESRQ: Bureaus and thus bureaucracies were created in this country as a response to the spoils system, a system in which non-professional party hacks ran roughshod over their fiefdom ie the American people. Bureaus were installed to free the system and the people from graft and corruption.

Good joke Waffler. The bureaus, staffed by our "public servants" are now our masters, and they are full of "graft and corruption".

Anon, yep! The Amerikan helot, or otherwise statist theocracy's serfs (obliged to be not free) are now recognized by their acceptance of compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity and other deprecations of life, liberty and property.

jim k, Austin

Right on Mike, and don't forget to buy that toilet and those lightbulbs that Big Brother forces on you.

J Carlton, Calgary

Indeed, children are now taught to rely on government as a higher authority than their own parents. They are taught nothing of the values and priciples of freedom, but how to comply to a system of entrenched Stalinist bureacracy.

It's the "Bureaus" that have taken over the administration (indirectly) they are now the power houses robing the people of not just their rights but also their livelihood.
