These days they go by the name of Republicans. Look around.

Humor that describes perfectly today's reality. By way of extremely terse example; the Puritans from England were not forced to pay a life tax that pays for abortions,they were not forced to distribute contraception devices to un-wed girls, they were not threatened by court action (or worse) if they did not perform gay marriages, they were not forced to have their religious ceremonies (such as marriage) performed by the 'state', they were not forced to be government slaves - rendering a percentage tribute from the noble laborer's fruits and were not forbidden from producing and selling raw milk or non-GMO foods.

anonymous, "look around", for what ? Are you equating Republicans to the early Puritans or to those finding greater restrictions. Republicans and Democrats may have a slight policy difference in promoting their preferred brand of despotism and tyranny than the here subject period of Puritan England but, the result is still greater restrictions with a greater loss of freedom and liberty.
