The media, the power, control, hate, and war mongers, the spend thrifts and thieves, and those that are actively pursuing the demise of the God of Nature's freedom and liberty have been woefully indifferent to Ron Paul and the Constitutional movement in the several States united. A spirit of freedom is sweeping this land with a grass roots movement raising its head far above the intrenched inhumanity of the conservatives/liberals, and Neocons/Democrats..

Shaw should stick to being a comic dramatist - whatever that is. I prefer, any day, that other guy be indifferent to me than put 2 rounds thru my brain or cut my throat.

E Archer, NYC

Indifference towards others is to treat them as already dead -- and not caring one way or the other.

Well said Archer - please God save me from your followers. Doug, I wouldn't say that in an Irish pub they may just give you your wish. A Nobel Prize in Literature and a great Literary critic - not bad for comic dramatist. As today will be my last retort this year I wish you and everyone A Very Happy and Healthy New Year - May 2008 bring you love, peace, and happiness.

The other day we thought about the subject of TOLERANCE. Is not being INDIFFERENT similar to that. Some times we may not feel compelled to take sides but yet are willing to let the sides keep arguing. We may appear to be indifferent but in effect we are being tolerant of points of view and keeping our powder dry. I think Doug is the one on the right track here. Mike, would you prefer that people hate Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinnich. I in some deep, love of democracy way, love all of the guys/gals who want to be President (well maybe not Thompson). It is immature to think we have to either love or hate their policies. Kennedy said that the choices in the world are often not black or white, there is a lot of gray out there. And gray is where indifference comes in.

If you know something to be different and do nothing thats indifference - indifference does not come about from that which is Grey but from that which is black or white

Ken, Allyn, WA

Hating someone is a sin of commission. Being indifferent to them is a sin of omission. There is very little difference between the two. We ought to actively love our neighbors as ourselves.

Ron Pauls favorable/unfavorable ratings have been net negative for two polling cycles. Latest is fav 21, unfav 44. These ratings are among his own party. Is that indifference or hatered. And what could you be thinking Mike.

warren, olathe

It is all just black and white. The gray you see is due to a lack of understanding. Ron Paul is very frightening to many reasoned individuals. This is not a world that deals kindly to an ostrich
