Not sure how to rate this sort of quote - it uses good grammar, and makes its point well, but is somewhat sickening in substance. To think, we had people in power that advocated such things!

I have only been able to find 5 sites with this quote on the web (besides this site). None of them provides any source data (date, location, event, document, etc.) other than the attribution to Morgenthau. Each is in the category of 'conspiracy theories'. Morgenthau may well have said this. It's not an unheard of sentiment or idea. In this case the entire text of the speech ought to be available. Was the world insane at that moment in time? Remember, the world economy was on its knees and WWII was indeed about global domination. Wasn't National Socialism really a bunch of conspiracy theorists who grabbed the reins of power due to dismal economic circumstances? Extremes must always exist and oppose in kind. We must guard the truth to understand.

The socialist agenda continues to tear down, deindustrialize, and bankrupt a once free people while forming a superfluous cog in an international machine. The liberal side of the equation is committing crimes against humanity by causing man made drought, starving a hungry world. (California and Texas are but 2 examples)

There is no conspiracy here. Morgenthau was simply talking about the de-nazification of Germany. That put's rather a different spin of things.

The problem with socialism and forced taxation to provide for "humanity" is that eventually you run out of everyone else's money. Unless individuals are taught that responsibility for one's own actions and well being are a law of nature, we will continue to see the productive and motivated of the world diminish in numbers. Socialism removes those characteristics. It is easily observed that Obama was for the most part elected by welfare recipients who just want to sit on their asses...great system this "new America".
