Krzysztof Kieslowski Quote

“Why did they devise censorship? To show a world which doesn’t exist, an ideal world, or what they envisaged as the ideal world. And we wanted to depict the world as it was.”

Two words: "Politically Correct". The method by which we are silenced from telling it like it is...

The Soviet Union only needed to fool their own.

Reading how the socialists (communists / progressives, fascists, etc.) spread their plague all over the world explains the "Why" of the above question. Hitler's play book happens to be in vogue by the occupying statist theocracy that now infests this land. The quote's answer to its own question does depict a portion of one of the reasons "why".

Because the Truth shall set you free, that is why there is censorship.

I for one have seen enough of "real life" where people are minced, chopped, burned, and otherwise slaughtered. Does that mean that everyone else should be exposed to these horrors? We know there is a seedy underbelly to all societies, but we don't need to teach our kids that this is "the way it is." Bull! We work hard to provide a decent environment for our loved ones, away from those who live in the seedy side of life. If you show enough of the weirdos of the world, people may begin to think it's normal to live that way, just like the homosexuals have dumped their vile life-style into our schools, military, and place of business. What next? Pedophiles suing for equal status in society?
