Markus T. Funk Quote

“Murder rates in "gun controlled" areas, such as Mexico and South Africa, are more than twice as high as those in the United States. Conversely, countries such as Switzerland, New Zealand, and Israel, which have household gun ownership rates comparable to those in the United States, have much lower rates of crime and violence.”

Washington DC used to be the 'Murder Capital' of the USA for decades -- that is until the hand gun ban was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Violent crime has plummeted as a result. In every city plagued by gun-related crime, hand guns are illegal. In cities where the right to carry a concealed weapon is protected, violent crime is nearly non-existent. And yes the Swiss populace is armed with military weapons in nearly every household -- gun-related crime is very, very rare.
