Dr. Mary J. Ruwart Quote

“Forcing people to be more 'unselfish' creates animosity instead of good will. Trying to control selfish others is a cure worse than the disease. ... In trying to control others, we find ourselves controlled. We point fingers at the dictators, the Communists, the politicians, and the international cartels. We are blithely unaware that our desire to control selfish others creates and sustains them. Like a stone thrown in a quiet pond, our desire to control our neighbors ripples outward, affecting the political course of our community, state, nation, and world. Yet we know not what we do. We attempt to bend our neighbors to our will, sincere in our belief that we are benevolently protecting the world from their folly and short-sightedness. We seek control to create peace and prosperity, not realizing that this is the very means by which war and poverty are propagated. In fighting for our dream without awareness, we become the instruments of its destruction. If we could only see the pattern!”

She is a wonderful Libertarian.

A reminder that we need to mind our own business and be responsible for our own actions and well being. If everyone did that, the world would be just fine.

A great , great quote . And J, I agree, we need to mind our own business and expect others to mind theirs.

The quote points out precisely a secular government at law and the result of anti-natural law religion's dogmas. The de jure States united 'WAS' a natural law extension of We The People, limited to protecting individual inalienable rights. Religion is "piety in practice, consisting in the performance of all known duties to . . . our fellow men" including, protecting them from themselves. Dr. Ruwart's statement (referencing current statist theocracy endeavors) is a very accurate observance.

Beautiful. What many people still don't understand about power structures is the same force you exert on others will be exerted back at you. The ripples of this "sin" eventually hit an immovable force and return to the initiator. The Law of Karma and also sowing and reaping explain this perfectly. The Lord God came to this world to set us free. That's freedom and the truth, or "awareness as she states it, will set us free only if were free to pursue it.

This is just more new-age claptrap it’s dung or manure if you like. The So-called new-age people teach compromise, when the TRUE WORD of GOD does not. We are to be examples to the world NOT compromise with the world. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
It IS NOT New-Age Mumbo Jumbo that will change the world but YESHUA, Jesus THE Christ!
In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

And Ray thus demonstrates the cause of perpetual war -- you don't believe in the right God, so we must be the agent of his judgement and terrible wrath. Talk about mumbo-jumbo for dumbo. Grow up. The desire to 'save' people is the root cause of totalitarianism, whether religious or secular.

Ray, WHAT ? ? ? If you've read this blog for any length of time, you would have read that there is no more believing Christian than me. None of the scriptures you quoted decried "Forcing people to be more 'unselfish'". One reason for that is, it "creates animosity instead of good will." Creating animosity is not the Christ's way.

Ray represents a denominational religious sec, a majority among Christians, those who would follow the milk of dependency rather than the independence of Liberty. " Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me." John 13:20. Knowing, that John had already read Paul's letters, its no doubt the statement is for our sake, that it was written. He understands things that are different, are not the same ! That is why 66% of the congregation at large are socialist by doctrinal practice due to the protestant clergy. Ruwart is very wordy speaking of "cause and effect" ideo knowledge. transient and leading. Nevertheless truth.
