A very good analogy.

"The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin.

But, both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists."

This is a great quote, especially that last line.

Succinct, concise, presented in something approximating a poem form ( I LOVE poetry ).

I'm late, but at 84, have awakened to fiscal politics. A SELF-IMPOSED "slave;" didn't save, spent, credit-card borrowed till bankruptcy court stepped in. MEA CULPA. Too many "pols" are treading in footsteps left by my worn-out shoes.

Just the Facts. Save up to buy, is what I was told, stay away from the money lenders, or they'll take your soul. And the shoes right off your feet.

WARREN, OLATHE

yep. Haven't owed anything in 25 years. Not on Cars or houses. You would not believe how much you can afford to do when you pay no interest on anything. Just made an offer on a house yesterday and if accepted, will pay cash. Great feeling until I think about what our government is trying to do to all of us. We just need a responsible person to vote for.
