Law (physics, fiscal, etc.) pre-dates man, this planet, this universe, etc. Man can not make law, he can only discover existing law, place definitions on it for man's understanding and then, utilize said understanding in the form of codes, ordinances, regulations, rules, statutes, etc. to secure sacred life, liberty (including inalienable rights) and property. The closer man's definitions are to that law which exists, exponentially the greater the freedom, liberty, rights, prosperity, truth, love, and knowledge. The further away man's definitions are to existing law, exponentially the result becomes servitude, poverty, pain and a loss of all else obedience to nature's law offers. It is a time tried experience, a check and balance on faulty definitions of law for the jury to have power to bring a verdict in the teeth of both law and fact.

Mike is describing "Natural Law' in all circumstances. Economics is a natural law and what a disaster we have when our government tampers with it. The same can be said of all NATURAL LAWS.

That's only if the jury is not a bunch of spineless idiots. More colored people, poverty stricken people and children have gone to prison because of incompetent juries.
