I think the same of Reagan that I do of Bush nothing but a phony! They were and are wolves in sheeps clothing!

Hmmmm.....Ronald Reagan was an interesting character. I believe there was more substance to that man than there is in the current president.

Only electing third party candidates, Libertarian for example, will ever create a change in our government. Only then will our taxes and government be reduced. Democrats and Republicans will only give us increased taxes (a big appetite) and nothing to show for it (no sense of responsibility).

Compare Reagan's quip to the joke leading into the trailer for Robin Williams' forthcoming movie, "Man of the Year." "Politicians are a lot like diapers. They should be changed frequently and for the same reason." Reagan's quip concerns a systemic problem of government, whereas Williams' joke might be taken as implying that government would work better with "non-politicians."

So true.... and all the more illustrates the current state of affairs of our government today, even in 2011.

Government exists for us, not vice versa. I'm tired of answering to unelected bureaucrats who think they are experts but never worked a day in their life in a real job that they regulate!

Interesting variety of responses, but to be expected. Earlier in my life there were those who pointed to a particular individual and said, "He's a genius in his own mind." In oh so many ways, aren't we all entitled to that criticism ?

By way of example: Law enforcement (an oxymoron at natural law) in its primary role as revenuer, endlessly seeks sacrificial prey with tools such as compelled compliance, victimless crimes, licensing and larceny with impunity so that it may convert a falsely imposed definition of criminal activity into a financial profit (feeding the big appetite on one end and by Supreme Court legislation protecting the alimentary canal, the ravenous revenuers have no responsibility or liability to a once sovereign "We The People" on the other end - in an overview of reality, piling on the manure).
