“No one has ever succeeded in keeping nations at war except by lies.”

Now why exactly did Bush get us into war and, what was Obama's clear and decisive time table for getting the troops out? hmmm

I am thinking about the stories of Johnny Reb and Damn Yank yelling stories and jokes back and forth while on night watch and then shooting at each other the next day. Once the lies are all neutralized maybe we can all be friends.

A lie is violence against the truth. No war can be waged without an attendant guard of lies.

It's lies that unleash the dogs of war; it's lies that hold back the timid and fearful, but in the end its the lies that eventually defeat the lier. A lie once spoken is the costliest of all mistakes, integrity is immediately compromised and trust shattered.
