among others, I would have all titles of nobility removed

Waffler, Smith

Mike he is not talking about the aristocracy of titles and nobility but about the power of money. The power of private interest and of the collective that is inherent in a corporation over and against the total collective of the people and their government as expressed in their DEMOCRATIC form of government. Jefferson was very presient here.

He was referring to whom controls the issuance and VALUE of the nations currency. Under our system, specifically article one section 8: Congress has the authority to issue credit for economic activity. Not a private corportion, such as the so-called federal reeserve.

It's a little late for "warnings" at this point. If they are anti-gunners, vote them out, if they voted for stimulus, vote them out, if they voted for greater welfare, vote them out...if they are in any way anti-Constitution or anti-Republic, vote them out. That should just about clear the floor.

Oh my gosh! TJ knew who the REAL bad guys were clear back in 1800.

Waffler, I am very aware of his specific topic and subject matter, that is why I put the, 'among others'. It probably would have been more clear if I would have said 'besides the obvious'. Fabian socialism was all the intellectual rage during the 1776 - 1787 era. A facet, or popular raising adaptation to that whole train of thought was a scope of national corporatism (Mussolini and Hitler didn't come up with the concept on their own). The founders recognized the inherent and tyrannical problems with all forms of socialism, democracy, monarchies, etc. and put into motion a representative republic antithetical thereto with, the individual being the absolute sovereign. All societal administrations of, by, and for each and every, any and all individual sovereigns was to recognize natural law / justice, along with the individual sovereign's inherent status, authority, power, and unalienable rights.

Because in a republican form of government that respects the rights and property of the people, the wealthy are not robbed by the government for redistribution to the rest (like in communist Russia). However, a republican form of government prohibits monopolies and interstate trade restrictions. As well, those that can control the wealth of a nation, like the banks, must be kept honest and in their proper spheres lest through a trick they are able to steal the wealth, property, and labors of the people. This happened in Jefferson's time and he abolished the first central bank of the US. The US is on its 3rd or 4th central bank since and the Federal Reserve is the granddaddy of corporatism (fascism) in the US and around the world as it also issues the debt/currency of other nations as well. For those who recognize that corporations have acquired too much power and influence in America, they should aim their sights on the Federal Reserve, because without this iniquitous money system (interst bearing fiat currency), the corporate (collective) power would not trump individual sovereign power.

Good explanation of the threat that rabble under the guise of capitalism is still a rabble. Such rights of the individual is not to be conquered by the collective dynamic.
