Can I get an amen ? ;-)

Yeah! Besides, death is natural while taxes are, well....I don't know, but they aren't natural.

Amen!

I only give it a two due to its' triteness. Will and many others make a fortune telling jokes or selling advice concerning the IRS. We waste so much time with this nonsense. Fill out your forms, pay your taxes and move on.

Waffler, is the snake oil advice you're "selling" in your post what makes your fortune, or in other words, provides your salary? Yes, very trite indeed.

I've advocated for a long time instituting a policy where one public official (through a draw) is required to give their life by public hanging every year, as a way to reinstate the spirit of Nathan Hale: "I only regret that I have but one life to give my country." This should garner the very type of people we want in office: men and women who will willingly give their life for the service of their country. Furthermore, this will keep out the politicians that are only seeking for power and glory, but attract those who genuinely want to serve. When they begin to see close associates give their life, they will think twice about sending other people's children (whom they've never met) into unjustified wars (and, as such, the leaders will be able to actually empathize with those families who have lost loved ones and associates due to public service). Finally, the type of people who would run for public office -- knowing the potential consequences -- would also think twice about confiscating their neighbor's property under the cloak-and-dagger clause of "justifiable taxation". If Obama and Emanuel can possibly pass off the shit they are concerning mandatory 3-month public service for any men or women between 18 and 25 years of age (under the premise that it will reinstate traditional American values of service), we can certainly make certain claims and stipulations on our elected leaders.

True enough. Interesting take, Logan. In fact, the Coinage Act of 1792 provides for the punishment of death for debasing the currency of the United States of America. Let's start there. It was supposed to scare the bankers from trying to take over the government. Waffler, very obviously, used to work for the IRS. In any post about taxes, he tells everyone to pay them and be grateful, often providing links to text at the IRS site, he has never complained of anything the IRS has ever done, quite the opposite even praising the IRS and taxation itself. Yes, he profited from it -- he may even be a plant, but I suspect he is just a well-indoctrinated drone that merely parrots what has been ingrained in him.

Logan, was the new social slavery edict from 16 to 25 or 18 to 25? Really scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the bill also, they address the elimination of home school and at least 1 hr a month of federal indoctrination. It sounds like they're setting up the brown shirts to watch everybody but Waffler.

Fill out your forms, pay your taxes and move on and get a life! Nathan Hale was in my view not quite a government employee anymore than was Paul Revere, or Chris Attacus (if I have the name correct-you know that black guy that was killed in Boston). American patriotism is not about being a government employee. But with all those who are more than willing to beat the shit out of Uncle Sam anytime they can I am proud to come to his defenseim. At least against ignorance and stupidity! Every one should have an equal opportunity to die for Nathan Hales country, so let us reinstitute the draft and maybe we will then have less wars.

Waffler, you are beyond incredulous. You champion ignorance, stupidity, misdirection, half truths and shallow fables. You deify governmental larceny. In resounding harmony with Uncle Adolf, Carl, Mao, and Benito you lie about who Uncle Sam is and all that he stands for. Your resolute stance for all unconstitutional compelled compliance is unwavering. You detest government of law when it conflicts with government by gun. With all those who are more than willing to beat the shit out of Uncle Sam anytime they can, you are proud to come to his demise. And what makes Sam's country really great (as is averse to the uncle you would really like to live under) is that both you and I make up the fabric We The People.

    Waffler, Smith

The difference between you and I Mike is that you forever have a disconnect between the term "We The People" and the governments (city, state, and national) that the people elelct. That my friend is what I mean when I call you childish, and Sir you are. Instead of respecting others and the governments they choose you are a would be dictator.

    Mike, Norwalk

Waffler, a correction. Where We The People are the sole source of all authority and a resulting government is the servant, unable to do that which the individual can not do, I am in favor and at one with. Where a government claims inherent right aloof from We The People and such alien participates in compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, and larceny (all with impunity) I am disconnected by and from that government. It does not matter that, that foreign despot allows it helot like servants to elect some of its employees; that does not make a government of We The People. I feel sad for mind sets such as your's that believe freedom, liberty, personal responsibility, government of law, individual sovereignty, and service to your fellow man, is childish, non-respective of others, and dictatorial.

He says what all Americans are thinking, but dare not say. Let the Revolution begin!

    Raoul, Yankeetown

Sad. Waffler never understood the constitution because he had "Social Studies" instead of History. And "Dick & Jane" instead of reading.

what do I think...wow, I'm lost in this one...yet, I believe I have a message... Get The Word out, they paid taxes in the day of Christ Who found each one of us worth it all. Also, remember that We the people, do have say so in the make up of our government at one end of the spectrum. Each one of us has a voice and there are tools out there to go through to MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Bitching only breeds more bitching. You like that stuff? Personally, I like smiles and laughter and realizing each and every miracle that has taken place in my lifetime. God bless each one of you! Sincerely His, puzzlepeace
