In creating material wealth, they create businesses and hire people. Think of the thousands of jobs Bill Gates and Michael Dell have created.

Cal, Lewisville Texas, you are right on about the U.N. Jefferson would never have agreed to a "World Court".

As to Clinton, 6of 8 years while he was in office, There was a Republican majority in both houses of congress. Democrats rarely mention this. Nowadays Republicans act like democrats and the debt gets higher and the government gets bigger.

I'm with Paine on this. We can never be sure exactly what Jesus taught since the Bible was copied and recopied hundreds of times and many errors occurred because of this. Assuming he said what the New Testament says, his teachings seem to be that we be as kind as possible to fellow occupiers of this planet. He said nothing about dying for sins or who gets to wear the funny hat in Rome.

Jefferson was a deist. He once said that he wouldn't trouble you with his religion if you would not trouble him with yours. "The Essence Of Jefferson " by Martin Larson is a great book on Jefferson's opinions on religion, politics and more. Many of his letters to John Adams are included.

I watched a video of Jay Carney "debating" with Scarborough. Jay is the White House secretary. They must teach spreading bull shit with a straight face at Yale, Carney's alma mater. Check it out on YouTube and see what I mean.
