There are just laws, unjust laws, and too many laws. Among the worst laws of all is Asset Forfeiture, passed by our congress, which allows cops to steal your property without your having committed a crime.

I'll go with E Archer on this one. And perhaps this quote means that freedom is up to the individual , not from the government.

Blake, what the heck are you talking about and do you live under a rock. Evolution is attacked all the time by fundamentalists everywhere. How about a little skepticism on creationism? A quote from the Buddha goes like this: "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense". People should be skeptical of and examine everything instead of just taking it on faith. This goes for politics, religion and the Bible.

A good example of this is religion. People, especially fundamentalists tend to believe what they were taught as children by their parents and their church. They don't think or question very much but they do have faith and hope and do a lot of believing. Politics is another example. I vote democrat(or republican) because my dad voted that way. Recent elections are proof that a lot of voters aren't big on "thinking".

It's okay to think anything you want but you better keep it to yourself. The politically correct thought police are watching and lisitening.

Maybe it's time to examine Obama's ideas before it's too late.

The police mainly make reports of a robbery or murder after it has happened. They will try to find the culprit but you will still be robbed or dead. It's up to each citizen to protect his person and property, not the police.

Laws do not contol the lawless and neither do gun control laws.

It's interesting that the States with the most murders are also the States with the strictess gun control laws.

Waffler, The "non-thinking crowd" came out in droves last November 6th. Obama is scary but the fact that we have enough people willing to elect him twice is really scary. It was fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on me again.
