George Washington and the colonist soldiers who defeated the British and won our freedom were in the minority. The majority of the colonists were opposed to the Revolutionary War. They had a name for them too. They were called Tories. They gave aid and comfort to the British soldiers. History is repeating itself again as it has through the ages. Everyone is going to have to chose up sides. We called them Patriots back in those times, but King George didn't think of them as Patriots. To him, they were traitors.
