This exemplifies why international banking and their corporate followship can't kill the goose (debt ridden society). It takes time to produce the egg of wealth and when the egg reaches maturity is when they steal the egg through economic "crises" that vary in degree of effect. The worse the crisis the more wealth (i.e. produce of labor) stolen at the time. If allowed, or by loss of control over the economic system of debt money, to go bankrupt it would be the equivalent to the death of the goose.

Leave the bank notes right where they are which is what they are anyway, rubbish! I think Keynes is telling a private joke in public and laughing about it afterwords. He's seems to be mocking the gullibility of people who, unfortunately, would happily believe his rubbish.

The power that Wall Street, Banking, communications, energy or any other field where rights violations occur has, is an addiction. The wealth/power is the drug of choice and power usurped from our government and wealth from the citizenry through taxation is the supply. Government Commerce laws are the enablers and we the people are the suppliers forced to give up what they are addicted to: wealth and the power it brings.

The attack on the 2nd Amendment is highlighted in this quote ......."though the effect of these obstructions is always more or less either to encroach upon its freedom, or to diminish its security. " The encroachments placed on that right of freedom also diminishes the nations security. True words indeed Mr Smith.

This is true for the criminal too because of the absoluteness of his right which is no different than the law obeyers right. Though his act may be outlaw it is his freedom to pursue his own interests his own way that can turn the law abiding potential criminal into one. The criminal for bad or good has the same right to choose to commit a crime as the law abider has the right to choose not to.

We just witnessed a secretly unobserved confiscation of wealth with the controlled economic "collapse" that just happened. The further centralization of the combination corporate banking and business government (sorry, industry) is another strong motive for it.

RBESRQ. The truth on its own stands alone and needs no one to say it because it stands silent and eternal until man uses words to say it. The integrity of truth cannot be diminished by man though he continues to try. If Hitler had said these words I wouldn't deny the truth of them simply because of who said it. I seriously doubt McFadden was the first to say these words and I know he's not the last because I've said them myself without quoting McFadden. The integrity of a man can be determined by whether his words twist the truth or state it as is, but his integrity is totally different and unimportant compared to the importance and integrity of the truth. I have often quoted people I dislike and been called on it and I have always stuck with my explanation of why I did quote them. I.m.o. the words of this quote are far from meaningless whether said by a man of integrity or not.

If deficits are so important why isn't there any main party politician knocking the debt money system we're using to survive with? If it wasn't for this evil system Cheyney's line could have had a different meaning. Deficits don't matter because we don't have any.

Anon

But may the words live on forever no matter the man who said them. The words are true.

It is use and abuse of our fiat paper money system through manipulation that makes the poor poorer and the rich richer. This quote would be much more applicable in a rare metals based monetary system. As it applies to our debt money system, it is this system that allows the rich banking families to redistribute the wealth of the nation from the laborers' pocket into the their pocket. Who is it we owe everything to including the lives and future labor of the next generation?

Doesn't matter if he said it or not. If the words point to the truth, that is what's important. Our President does have the power to "suspend" any or all constitutional rights by declaration of a national emergency with the power of executive order. Executive orders got us into Iraq. Executive orders from King George is why our forefathers had no choice but to fight for their freedom. Jesus condemned the executive orders of the Pharisees and Sadduces and actually said what JFK said though in different words. He warned us of the plot of the antichrist to come before he left us as well. It only makes sense the plight He spoke of which is mirrored in the above quote would have to pertain to the highest offices in the land of any government. This is where evil forces have appeared throughout history. Jesus consistently downplayed his self importance (by words and acts of selflessness) in lieu of the importance of truth conveyed in what He said and did. To me, when He said to his apostles even if you don't believe me believe my works He "carved in stone," so to speak, the importance of words and acts that demonstrate and reveal truth. Too much disagreement occurs about who said what because the man who said it or didn't say it is really unimportant if the words ring true.

Socialists have used the first part of this quote to promote their anti-freedom campaign by misinterpreting it for this generation and the one coming into believing J.F.K. believed in socialistic programs. Though I believe Kennedy didn't think it necessary I think he should have added to this half what he ended the second half with. "Ask what you can do for your country"....."for the freedom of man." The second part has to be kept low key because people might then ask why we are bailing out foreign nations with our tax debt. I know the question has been asked and answered with typical socialistic rhetoric that all ultimately boils down to the same thing which is "for the good of America". And as our leaders tell us under such "extrordinary circumstances" we have "no choice" but to further bankrupt our country to rescue it from bankruptcy. E Archer, you're the economic expert here. What do you say? Am I close?

Stomach turning yes, but once acknowledged as true and digested as such the truth has a way of setting one free. It's a shame most in our nation will never experience that awe inspiring elusive feeling of freedom the facing of and digestion of truth leads one to. I feel sorry for them.

Isn't Christmas called winter festival by many now? Thanksgiving has become thanking the forefathers for the great government they gave us. In any case our traditions of the greatest importance have become to a great many very important partydays and not Holidays or Holydays. At the very least a time to forget one's burdens which are for a great part unlawfully foisted on them by the very society they live in by the majorities and those that lead them (special interests) continued usurpation of power not Constituionally granted by the limitations of power mandated in the 9th and 10th Amendments of the B.O.R.'s. Happy Tradition Day everyone. That's a good politically correct phrase that covers all holidays without offending anyone. This way every one can forget American traditions and replace them with their own. Values optional. There's not only a very grave danger of an announced need for security seized upon to expand the meaning of the Constitution it is a very REAL danger that is having its effect today because of, concealed censorship. The quote is another example of words of wisdom based on self evident truth, tested by history, and proven beyond doubt that it IS exactly ONE of the causes of our many problems our country faces now and in the near future that people either by choice or ignorance refuse in the first case or can't in the second, to see and acknowledge. The blind being led by the blinders placed on them by their all knowing intellectual "betters" to satisfy their lust for power. After the blinders are on the carrots and sticks are much more effective as the sheep see less of the reality around them until it's too late to avoid the collapse of what once was.

Very well put E Archer!

Anon

True but you can't get them to sit down and explain because they can't be bothered with the lowly questioning their expert authority and monopoly over education when in truth they are the ignorant and prideful Pharisees of modern day.

Anon

This is not necessarily bad if society is moral and responsible for its actions. Nonetheless the quote is very true

Anon

The same holds true for this country because parents have been taught in the same system that teaches government is responsible for you so you no longer need to be responsible for yourself.

Anon

This is progressive education? More like regressive education.

Anon

I thought parents were supposed to teach responsibility. Oh yea, that's right. They dumped that responsiblity on government years ago.

Anon

Are you sure this wasn't said by Kruschev or Stalin?

Anon

There is nothing new under the sun.

Beth; I agree with this absolutely. This Standard pertains to all people and it IS a moral/ethical measuring tool one uses to not only judge ones' behavior in relation to God, but to also judge ones' behavior in relation to the highest ethical standards. Regardless of where anyone believes this Standard originated it IS a naturally existing self evident truth, law of nature or a natural law we are, without choice, bound to whether one admits it or not. We can only become good people who do right or evil people who do wrong with most, if not all of us, living in varying degrees of both some where in between. This true and consistent standard IS a self evident truth and no "one" can truly say it doesn't exist. One can ignore it as something trivial but that doesn't make it disappear. Since it is a system of judgement some believe God will use it to judge us and others that we judge ourselves by it. I say no matter what one believes, the debate over belief causes confusion and contention leading to no agreement at a time in history where it is vital to end it and find and agree upon the common natural laws we share and through AGREEMENT on self evident truths we can alleviate much of the many contentions that threaten to divide us as a Nation. The highest good that we can attain on the Standard is selfless sacrifice to others and the worst evil, selfish sacrifice of others. Which way it goes from here is still up to us but we must actively search for issues as they pertain to natural law to find agreement rather than trying to get others to believe this or that way which common sense historical evidence says doesn't work and always leads to divisiveness and in too many cases violence. Peace comes with a cautious open hand seeking agreement, not with a raised sabre. The "various corrupting changes" Jefferson speaks of are doctines of men that oppose the mandates of natural law. This also applies in our political, economic and social lives.

RBESRQ....................Since you asked, No I can't say for 100% who wrote it just as no one can say for 100% who did...but... a simple fact remains. It was by following the precepts of Jesus in their simplicity and using them as guidelines to create a government that respects equality, anyones god, and theirselves as individuals free to live their lives in peace. No matter what any one believes about where these precepts came from they are, natural laws that Jesus spoke of and exemplified in the physical (so the story goes). Our founders all had most of the precepts of Jesus in common and agreed that in writing the Constitution that these common precepts of natural law would be law on earth for our Nation. Could they have reached that point without the example of Jesus, the precepts he taught, or what the founders considered the way to peace? I know this. There is no question about this truth of history and that it really happened. Our Nation was founded on the very precepts mankind already knew as natural law from the beginning, but failed over and over to correctly administer. Jesus showed by example how to do it because we as humans couldn't figure it out on our own. That all said it's still everyones' choice to believe what they will. You know, Jesus taught that fact too.
