Chaffee quote Excellent! 12Reply D.M., Bozeman, MT 2/15/05 re: C. S. Lewis quote "The State exists simply to promote and to protect the ordinary happiness of human beings in this life." WRONG! The State exists to promote and to protect the EXTRAORDINARY and UNDESERVED rights of corporations. Corporations want a risk-free existence, passing all of the uncertainties of life to human beings. 1 Reply D.M., Bozeman, MT 2/14/05 re: Bill Bonner quote For sure! I LOVE this quote! Best one yet. 2 Reply D.M., Bozeman, MT 2/3/05 re: Bertrand de Jouvenel quote I like this quote although almost anyone can use it to support their own agenda. Reply D.M., Bozeman, MT 2/2/05 re: Maxwell Anderson quote What is meant by "When a government takes over . . ."? Exactly what constitutes a takeover? 14Reply D.M., Bozeman, MT 2/1/05 re: William Boetcker quote Regarding: "You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer. You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich." Sometimes it is the big men, the strong, the wage-payer, and the rich who are keeping the small men, the weak, the wage earner, and the poor down. Look at all the multinational corporations that are run by rich people who are exporting our jobs overseas and preying upon the weak and the poor to enrich themselves. They certainly aren't blameless. They would rather make another dollar for themselves at the expense of Americans who need jobs. This is unpatriotic. Reply D.M., Bozeman, MT 1/31/05 re: Walter E.
