I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we are to restore a public sense of personal responsibility, accountability and morality we must return to the Constitution. It's interesting that the left and the occupy folks are focused on the idea that "capitalism" is the root of all evil. We've never seen real capitalism on a large scale, if at all. The government and big corporations and banks are all about protecting monopolies, not promoting free trade or allowing opportunity for all. And that's BOTH parties. Real capitalism is the guy who fixes motorcycles eventually building a sales and service shop. The baker who gets up at 3:30 to make sure there are warm loaves available to buy. The janitor who hires people to help him take on bigger contracts, the store owner who risked his own money to set up a corner shop, the house framer who becomes a developer, and so forth. These are the people who create an economy and these are the true capitalists. So I'd love to ask the occupy crowd...are these the people you want to tear down?

True statement all around. But I would add that both parties are in the same boat as far as their encroachment into the rights of idividuals. One advocating socialism, the other promoting crony capitalism. Neither are true to American values as defined by the Founding Father's and the Founding Documents, which is what brought me to be a Libertarian. I don't subscribe to anything but the rights to property and individual sovereignty. And I advocate the same rights for everyone. Socialism sucks and crony capitalism sucks.

Many intersting points. Our domestic police forces are ever more militarized (and if need be under UN control) We are forced to comply to a multitude of policies including extortion. The entrenched unionized bureaucracy is a self serving entity in place to stifle and confuse. Censorship and half truths are an absolute in the main stream media. Espionage? Easily comparable to the fact that we are under surveillance both publicly and privately. Control of private expenditure is implemented through personal income tax...work harder...pay more. The war on drugs is probably the most useless endeavor ever embarked on by anyone anywhere. And it isn't about public safety or for the public good. It's about control and the power to enforce (ridiculous) laws. Mann, those who provide labor are providing labor because it's all they have to offer. That is the nature of things, always has been. Without creative capitalists...what do "the labor" have to offer? It's a cooperative aspect of nature and if labor doesn't like being labor, they can go to school or go into business for themselves and take the risks. I have personally worked my way into a very comfortable position after starting out with nothing...twice. I did it by outworking and outhinking those around me.
