Many people were interested in his demise, but the timing of his assassination with the printing of money by our own government, and not the bank, does not seem coincidental. 1 Reply Judith, Corrales NM 12/28/07 re: Thomas Holcroft quote To prevent inquiry is to deny knowledge. Without knowledge one is ignorant and vulnerable. It is "one of the worst evils" and is a tool of the powerful. Thank God, whomever one determines It to be, but there is one, and Darwin later in life did say that he did not fully believe himself all his "theories'. There is a "Missing Link" that has not been found that directly connects humans to the Ape famiy. Darwin was pushed down our throats suddenly in the 1940's when investigation could not have been done. It seems there is a political reason for this as belief in a higher authority may make people harder to control. Despair and hopelessness is what the powerful want us to feel so we will not stand up for Liberty and Justice, and look for meaningless Gods, like movie stars, etc. Youth without belief have nothing to anchor their lives. This may be a bit far off from the quote but without inquiry, accepting myths or theories as truth without further inquiry can enslave. The internet must be permitted to allow freedom of information and ideas for knowledge to develop. Most people are frightened by being challenged mentally and crave to hold the general opinion they develope through societal conditoning through the propaganda machine in the mainstram media. Being a free thinking individual is too foreign and frightening for the majority. They cannot get out of the box or be different from their friends or neighbors. They might be rejected if they think freely. 1 Reply Judith, Corrales NM 12/28/07 re: Gotthold Ephraim Lessing quote Seems to me to say that anyone who is an independent thinker can be judged crudely because the general thought has been developed through societal conditioning. Therefore the independent thinkers ideas are foreign and constitute a threat to others, thereby rejecting his thought/ideas without reflection and labeling of identifying him as a heretic. Many "witches" in Salem were burned because they dared to be different than the general conditioned woman and a threat. Maybe this is too elementary but that is my contribution. She wants to be free to change without judgement at a moments notice. She does not want expectations placed on her, although she does love and wants to be loved, but never owned or formed by anyone else, include herself. 4 Reply Judith, Corrales NM 12/28/07 re: William Hazlitt quote Unfortunately we do not seem to get anyone in high office who is not a power monger and is not connected to wealth, either by family or by influence. Kuchinich's and Ron Paul's of the world are suppressed by media so the mainstream sheeple have no knowledge of him or what he stands for. It does not look good for America, and I respect the Canadians immensly and sympthize with their proximetry. Does Canada not know that Bush and Canadian and Mexico leaders are forming an alliance, and eventually we will be renamed? What are the Canadian people doing about it?? We must work for liberty or we will all lose it. SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
