I must say that we as a nation have been lead down a path of fear. This fear has been pushed on us by our government. You can attack the republicans all you want for doing this, but please tell me what democrat didn't do the same. We use fear now to start wars against Islamic extremists just as we used fear to start wars against the communists. In my mind the communists never did anything to hurt me or my family during my life (I am 34), but we were all made to hate them and want to destroy them. Now we have created the same hatred towards Muslims. This country has done this for generations, Republican and Democrat. I am registered Republican...I have yet to ever vote Democrat but for some reason I would rather see the Republicans lose in the next few elections with the hope that losing will help them find their way back to what being a Republican is about. As for the comments on Christians and the way they think I must say a few things. I am Catholic. I have noticed that many Christians are hypocrits. They believe in issues such as pro life to protect gods children but they are the first ones to send someone to a death sentence. They are the first ones to jump at going to war in order to fight for what they believe in. Any person who claims to be a true follower of Jesus must know this......we should not judge, we should not kill, we should not sentence any person to death, unless we want to act as if we are god. That is a mortal sin that will supposedly send you straight to hell. None of us are god...lets stop passing judgment on others and killing others. Men of peace under all circumstances are true men of Jesus. The true tests come not when it is easy to love or to turn the other check, rather the true test of your devotion to Jesus comes when times are trying and difficult. Many of us seem to fail that test when the going gets tough.
