They will fly around and around in circle. Every time, they will close in around us, giving us little or no room to breath. May be one day we will choke and open our eyes. I just hope, it wont be too late!

My house on my piece of land is my domain. It matters not to anybody who lives around me the way I choose to live my life as long as I live my life within the bound of law and as long as my inalienable rights are protected by constitution that drafted the law. If a country attacks another country, the country being attacked has every right to defend its independence. Our forefathers had that knowledge, hence the declaration of independence and our constitution which I call my bible of liberty. But astute as it is in the filth of political discourse that prevails these days, the underlying question all the time pertains to justice and freedom. I do not understand why we do not look into problems from the perspective of very foundation that this country came to being. I take no heart in calming myself by listening to president when he gives speech in the troubled times, because I see no justification in believing him. That, in my opinion, is a sheer propaganda. The media, screeching under the umbrella of corporate protection, breed that filth of deception, whether that is right or left. There is no difference whatsoever.

Very funny Logan. On the same note, may I add, "drill baby drill"! No pun intended!

The mess we are in right now is a living example of that vindicates this statement. We floated on the bubble, government intervened to make it right. Or may be there was that lack of intervention. In the word of W, "Some people call you the elites; I call you my base." Indeed! So here comes the government trying to rescue its base riding on the back of ordinary Americans. While Wall Street rise and glitter, main street falls and plunder. Every action the government has made, has been based on wrong diagnosis.

It will take my lifetime, even eternity, for this fact to change. Capitalist-socialism, its a moral dichotomy. How does this all come about? Proof is in the pudding.

Indeed I do not influence the majority. Indeed I am nothing. Yet, I write and people read. Yet, I speak and people listen. When is it that God created law? I am utterly confused! And with due respect sir, where is my place?

I am sorry Waffler, it's not me who sent Sarah. She was hand picked. Sarah does not represent all Alaskans and all Alaskans do not represent Sarah. I have no beef against her or her chooser. "THEY" are all the neo-cons and the pro-regulators, what a blasphemy! Here I toil every day to pay my bills and their crooks are in the process of bailing out the corrupts. What about me? What about my loan?

They are indeed. I am appalled by whats going on in this country. We are shifting from capitalism and freedom to the utter government intervention in every aspect of our lives. How come we are at this? It is because, we choose these people. They showed us the dream of freedom, conservatism and liberty, and look where we are. I can not get my head around the two-face nature of our politics and bureaucrats. In our country, we bail out the rich not the poor. What is this, Capitalist Socialism???? I am fuming over this the more I ponder!

Hmm, so it means this administration is liberal conservative, if McCain gets elected he would be moderate, and if Obama gets elected he would be liberal extremist. Wow! its amazing! I definitely need to skin that moose!

There are people like me in AK, enough to know the "Bush Doctrine"! ;-)

I am not going to give any star to this quote. But this is what I have to say. Being a strict constitutionalist it profusely angers me when anarchy is equated with libertarianism. The very very seed of libertarianism resides in individual liberty. When man seeks his liberty, he seeks for his rights, his god given right to do what he wills. If the state tries to keep him within certain bounds beyond what a constitution allows, that man has every right to fight for his right. If he does so, he is a true practitioner of democracy. It angers me further, when state tries to control every aspect of my existence and tag it democracy in the name of social good and justice. Where is democracy in that? Lets look at an example, Democratic Republic of Congo. Where in god's name is democracy in that country, and yet it laments itself "democratic". I am not a fool, that you come to my door wearing the mask of liberty, and inside that pocket of yours you hold the knife to cut my liberty. My right to ask for my liberty is not Anarchy, it is an order of human right to self-determine and exist.

Talking heads, partisans, and murders of liberty. No wonder, they give coverage to glamorous about profiles like Barak and Palin. If protecting constitution is the sore oath that we take by being a national of this country, why in the world are we not listening to the likes of Ron Paul. Because, we are always mislead in thinking people like Ron Paul are outside of the main stream politics, yes, the very main stream politics and the watchers and amusers, who gaze on filth of modern day soap opera.

I am color blind, so I will take this man's word for its meaning. When big conglomerates influence media, they align with right or whoever is in power. When government influences media, it is not democracy anymore. Ever ponder on this quote by Alan Moore, "The ending is nearer than you think, and it is already written. All we have left to choose is the correct moment to begin."

I don't know whether to give this quote thumb down or 5 stars or not rate it at all. I would not have rated this, if the political influence in the current media and press were not so blatant. Yes, my friends, I am talking about "talking heads" that we listen to and read on a daily basis, as if their punditry is a doctor prescribed dose of sanity. What irks me the most above all else, is the hypocrisy of it all. So called balanced media are filled with partisans, both left and right. The recent move of NBC to take Keith and Matthews off the live political events is a clear indication of political rights' hegemony on the basic principal of our rights to hear the both side. Funny thing is, these two are pure partisans and pure talking heads that I full heartedly decree because of their inability to report from a neutral perspective. This is a cancer that we must cure. Our individual LIBERTY is at stake!

I am not too sure Robert, if yesterday's speech by Barak was that great. It was good, I give you that, but it was not as good as FDR. In my book, FDR's speech is still number one. Talking about "Honesty" here, and I am absolutely for honesty, and now with the appointment of Palin as VP, the McCain camp must be VERY VERY VERY honest as to the reason of their action in choosing Palin for VP. I doubt they will give good explanation, and I am sorry, it will be their downfall. LEAVE US ALASKANS BE!!!

RKA, Wasilla, AK

This is so true. It is indeed a hypocrisy to state that we live in a free country, and yet when we raise doubts about god, we are termed sinner, appalled as they will not hesitate to point out that we will end up in hell. To raise a doubt about Barak for instance is at times viewed as being racist even though those doubts are very genuine and heart felt.

If you are learning how to ride a horse, its inevitable that you will fall. The act of falling does not imply that you stay put on the ground until someone comes and helps you get up. The act of falling implies that you fall, you get up and try to ride the horse again and again and again until you master the art of horse riding. When I read this quote it makes me feel that I ought to be able to do things on my own and if someone comes to help me out, all I become is lethargic and lazy, and ultimately I will to that helper. The ultimate goal of populist is exactly the same. So one has to be careful!

RKA, Wasilla, AK

Survival of the fittest. Indeed. But I don't know how would I rate it!!
