That's your argument? Try reading in between the lines... Jefferson is saying there is no room for politics in science. Which means the government has no business trying to control things that are humanly impossible to control (i.e. climate). Reply Richard Saunders, Philadelphia, PA 1/19/09 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Waffler. Are you really saying Gore is comparable to the Political Genius of Jefferson? Not only did Jefferson pen the founding documents of our nation, but he was also a lawyer, a state legislator, the Governor of Virginia, Minister to France, Secretary of State, Vice President and our third President. When he was President our nation purchased the land which flows into the Mississippi River Basin, and set Louis and Clark out on an expedition to explore the new land. Besides holding the office of Vice President, Al Gore has also been a congressman, and a senator. He also has a Nobel Prize for Climate Change. Which reminds me of the time JFK welcomed the Nobel Prize winners to the White House in 1962. He said, "I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent and of human knowledge that has ever been gathered together at the White House – with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone." 2 Reply Richard Saunders, Philadelphia, PA 1/13/09 re: Franklin P. Adams quote LOL. Waffler do you really believe there is a statute of limitations on Un-Constitutional Presidential Directives? SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
