Whether in public service, private business, or private association, even among the ranks of civilian boots on the ground, it is perceived as an asset or threat, to another's position of influence. A position to be tread lightly in the face of opposition. " If you are not too large for the place you occupy, you are too small for it."

The interactions of the Divine Spirit of Truth with that of the spiritual mind can not be emulated by a carnally minded computer. Conscience, there are two types, of interactions, one of self being and conviction, the other of a "corrupting agent" against that which is found to be contrary to sound doctrinal judgment. Hence the presence of God in relationship with the spiritual man. Morality is found to be at odds with the carnal mind. It is God who seeks after the inner man, he being spiritually minded.  

Charity,  "Agape" affection or benevolence, The attitude of God toward his Son, the human race, and to believers on the Lord Jesus Christ particularly. It is His will to His children concerning their attitude, one toward another and toward all men. He desires for them to express His essential nature. Love can be known only from the actions it prompts as God's love is seen in the gift of His Son. This is not the love drawn out by any excellency in its objects. It was an exercise of the divine will in deliberate choice.made without assignable cause save that which lies in the nature of God Himself. Self-will, that is self pleasing, is the negation of love to God. Christian love, whether exercised toward the brethren or toward men generally, is not an impulse from the feelings, it does not always run with the natural inclinations, nor does it spend itself only upon those for whom some affinity is discovered. It seeks opportunity to do good  'to all men, especially toward them who are of the household of faith. Agape expresses a more reasoning attachment, of choice and selection, from a seeing in the object upon whom it is bestowed that which is worthy of regard; or else from a sense that such is due toward the person so regarded, as being a benefactor or the like.Phileo on the other hand, without being necessarily an unreasoning attachment, does yet give less account of itself to itself; is more instinctive, is more of the feelings or natural affections. Implies more passion. Agapao is purged of all coldness, and is deeper than phileo, phileo implies an instinctive affectionate attachment, but Agapao of a sentiment based on judgement and adulation, which selects its object for a reason. 

Very strong statement Carlton, Washington's sentiments were very clear. Many things can be said about those that group for Light in a dark world. More to point, those, that are set to point and "run the race" for Liberty. Darkness being slavery in its many forms. The term "psychological warfare", seculare, is none other than Spiritual warfare. This now consumes 80% of the current warfare taking place. We as a nation are advised to put on the Whole Armor, "panoplia" all-armor, provided. This armor does not abide well with liars. Seeing the "armor of light" is provided with the Honest. "Hoplon" a weapon of literal armor for overcoming temptation. The armor of light (honesty) and the armor of righteousness, on the left hand and on the right. The girdle of Truth, protects your organs, the breastplate of righteousness protects your heart, Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel,( sure footed ( study of tactics) of Peace. The shield of Faith, for quenching the fiery darts. The helmet of salvation,(know so) protects your mind. The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, slays the adversary. "Children of light go about the city in the night, seeking their armor." The armory is open, but one must enter at the gate, says the door keeper. 

Good conscience is a thing to behold, even better, to follow.

Numbers are "words" and "words" are numbered, in the KJB for a very precise purpose. It means exactly what it says, as it says it, where it says it. Vanity is an evil of its own self, ( Ref: Romans 7:21,22) therefore judge nothing before the time. ( I Corin 4:5). The laws of man cannot instill the fruits of the Spirit. " For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. so then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live." ( Romans 8:5,6,7,8,12,13) 
I thank God our founding fathers walked after the Spirit of Truth and Liberty, seeing some of them were made stewards of the mysteries. The truth is brutal to the carnal mind, comforting to the Spiritual minded walk.
