At hand goes along with the fact that 666 was code for Nero. The code 666= Nero to the Jews and 616 = Nero to the Greeks. The Greek version of Revelation uses 616 instead of 666 and for many years people thought it was a translation error. Nero fit the prophesy to a T but the question remains - was he the only one?

The idea of civil rights comes from men that placed the sovereignty of god over that of man. There would be no civil rights with out religious rights. Remove god and you will have tyranny.

Right on Mr. Rosenthal. I can't think of one person in history that was a tyrant and also religious in the modern sense. In Aristotle's time the world was full of religions that involved very despicable acts as part of religious rituals. Many ancient religions were devoid of any concept of human rights. In the last 200 years I do not believe there was one tyrant that was not an atheist / communist / socialist / Darwinist / fascist.

Fancy words but I don't believe him. Unfortunately a person will quickly loose all concern for truth liberty or anything else when he is starving and rotting. He can only begin to think of higher concerns when his basic needs are met to at least a minimum degree.
