Excellent! This is truly exemplified by what children learn from their parents - thank god some escape that school of learning. OK, that's not directed to all you parents - you know the ones I mean.......

Let's take "Socialism" as an example. Without exception it will (eventually) fail every time. You'd think we would learn... Restore the Republic.

The truth is that we never really had a Republic in the first place.

    J Carlton, Calgary

Agreed Robken...and that would be thanks to Alexander Hamilton, the first (central) Bank of the United States, and the seed of Bankster / Government corruption that was begun almost as the ink was drying on the Constitution...he should have been hung as the first traitor to the nation.

David, yes, almost accurate; J Carlton, said well

Mike, are you aware of the "BRICS" event that has been taking shape? Brazil, Russia, India, China and S. Africa are no longer trading in US Dollars (The world's Reserve Currency). It begins...

    Waffler, Smith

The so called "Republic" purists don't believe in learning by example or otherwise. They believe not unlike communists that every thing is written down by someone at one time and place and is to be followed ever after. What does such a mentality as that have to say about the love of liberty and freedom?

    Mike, Norwalk

J Carlton, yes I am. My business deals somewhat in a couple of the countries mentioned. It's my experience that they are trying to use their own currencies when dealing with others, especially in between themselves. But, you are correct, I concur, it has begun. Waffler, WHAT ? ? ? You can't be making these stupid lies up all on your own; you have to have some sort of access to some subversive liberal think tank somewhere? I think I would be classified by you as a "Republic" purist (or at least on the fringe thereof) and I don't have a clue, nor the mentality, to know what your talking about. I have commented repeatedly that in a representative republic (as the U.S. was once intended to be) man can not create law. It is up to man to discover the law that exists (the laws of nature and of nature's god - gravity, physics, fiscal law, just rules larceny / murder / inalienable rights, etc. If it is to yet be discovered, it hasn't been written yet. That being said: he who forgets history is doomed to relive it. ) and then put in to place codes, ordinances, regulations, rules, statutes, etc. that would best harmonize with such laws. Keynesian economics was written down and we learned that It is tyrannous ruin for all those that abide therein. SO, WHAT ? ? ?

    Waffler one word..."twisted".

Yes, example is the best media of learning. So should we follow the example set forth by Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin or the one by Marx, Lenin, and Stalin. The capitalist economy that created the most prosperous civilization known to mankind or the socialist one that lies in the ash pile of history.

EXCEPT THE Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
    Psalm 127:1

    E Archer, NYC

It is truly a privilege to learn from the experience of others.  Civilization is built upon the recording of experience for reference by others.  If the knowledge is not a result of experience but based upon theory without corroborating evidence, that knowledge might serve as a stumbling block to learning what is actually so.  If I want to learn how to play the guitar, I have to actually play it  another person who does not play the instrument cannot be learned from. A teacher is supposed to be someone who has mastered something and helps others aspiring for the same mastery or better.  For that, the student happily compensates the master as a fair trade.
