It seems America has a long way to go before they realize the wisdom of Jitendra

Unfortunately, Americans are subject to the trickle down syndrome hence its runs rampant in our society. America has NEVER been a democracy and they use it to continue their imperialist propaganda. 9-11 and WMS they were whoppers... More people die from dog bites than from terrorist attacks - why are we so STUPID to believe this $&*#

Good for you Reston - at least there is a couple here that understand this lunacy... Mike, ever since the Battle of Waterloo the West has been under the yoke of the wealthy elite and their banks - I admit for a little while America under its Republic was heading in the right direction but force unbeknown to its people were at work and today are still in power. As Clinton said (when President) "there is another government at work here that I have no power over" or something like that.

A country must earn that duty and America has been far from honoring itself. The hypocrisy that abounds in this country is beyond belief and no man must feel honor bound to bear arms to such an egregious state.

One for my Tax file... Carlton, I'm sorry, I just had to laugh - Americans have no idea what would really happen if the 10 planks were implemented - we are way from little experiment... 1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. 2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. 3. Abolition of all right of inheritance. 4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. 5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. 6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. 7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. 8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. 9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country. 10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.[12]

Kimo, then, where is the action to show your resistance? It is rhetorical statement valid throughout the ages.

Good Mike... "Theory" being the key word here... hence only one star

Good, but the horse has bolted... The only way in which man's spirit can in future be elevated is by a rebirth (an American Renaissance), and, under the present regime and future regimes, this is very unlikely to happen in the near future. There was a period in the late 60s that had possibilities for a true rebirth but this was squashed by the capitalists and their everlasting thirst for wealth. If we are to learn then I'm afraid there is only one road and that is into the abyss because from there we stand a chance of being reborn.

Mike, you should know very few follow their own advice. I wonder indeed if extraterrestrial's, which a scientist said (the other day) 'their is evidence of their existence', believe in this same "nature's God" Will we have Galactic wars fighting over who's God rules the Universe. I just prey that if we are contacted by ET's that we are humble enough to leave our God our of the conversation. The laws of nature are summed up in one word and it is this one word that is absolute across the galaxy, Plato and Socrates spoke of it - the Form of GOOD - yes, I mean Good not God - who then does have the correct notion of Law? The "Form" is immutable, absolute, it needs no reference. If you have read Plato's Republic you will have some idea where he is going regarding "Forms". Their is much in the book I disagree with but many learned and well educated scientists and philosophers have referred to Plato's theory of "Forms" as having substance.

There lies our problem; very few study history especially those who need too. And when they do most take no heed the lessons they read. The decline of American imperialism is just one example.

RBESRQ

That's OK Mike - it's a very confusing subject - the co-op is local and socialist in nature.

RBESRQ

Here lies the crux of the matter - we live for tomorrow based on yesterday.

RBESRQ

Logic and reason belongs to no party - as is morality and ethics. It's the money system (or the myth of money) that is the problem. Take back the money system from wall street, Fed, and the world bankers, and perhaps we have a chance to regain life again. We MUST get back to local economies, local banking, local industry, local living. The capitalists biggest nightmare are people like the Amish. Living in harmony with the planet needs no affiliation, no party, no global market.

Though Mike does have a point...

Obviously he needs lessons on the definition of the Left perhaps he should start with the French Revolution. It's very unfortunate that those who know the difference have to see intelligent people so confused on the issue. The right originally represented the elite and the left everyone else - I always love how the right propagandize their greed and selfishness to make it look as though the problem is the left - same old tied story...

RBESRQ

The death of America is this mentality and this philosophy.

RBESRQ

Five stars for the comment and thumbs down for the author

RBESRQ

I agree with you Carol and I'm a socialist

RBESRQ

Mike, his agenda had nothing to do with Communism Marx did not want Lenin to take over the reins unfortunately he died before he could implement his government. Stalin was even worse - I'm not saying that they were correct ,all I'm saying is that it was not the communism that Marx had envisioned. All social structures in time collapse as America's will. And the reason is very simple, lack of compassion and empathy.

RBESRQ

Dr Tom and Archer well done I need say no more. Sorry, I will: As American corporatist's and their wealthy Wall Street friends use the Christian Far-right, the flag waving nationalists, homeland security, fear, etc., so did Hitler use the National Socialist party to rise to power. The very last thing Hitler was was a socialist.

RBESRQ

Just read the last quote (from Thomas Paine regarding 'government is a necessary evil') and grow up...

RBESRQ

Perfect! now what?...

RBESRQ

Wow! Mike this is you to a "T" - your fairy tale is right-on. I love it too but for one thing, I just wished he left out the word "Creator" especially considering his history - '...'endowed by their creator...' what creator? Popeye is right on...

RBESRQ

I love it, but unfortunately that is not how the world works - this is an ideal which may never happen in our lifetime. Here is the simple truth: When you as a citizen employee a force to protect you and/or to keep law and order (police force) you automatically sign over your right to gather as a force to defend yourselves against another force as you have as a group signed over that right. If this simple rule is not adhered too then you have chaos and insurrection. As a civilized society you must determine these rule ahead of time. Now comes the caveat, if the force that you have employed turns against the rights of the individual then that force forfeits any legal standing and individual rights then take precedents over employed forces - bring on the revolution - Viva la France

RBESRQ

Of course he is going to say that - give me a break! - just look at his record. Lets have quotes from those who are contradicting their past - otherwise they are just preaching to the choir.
