Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/20/16 re: Edward Zehr quote No other words are necessary, or, I can't think of them at the moment! 2 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/20/16 re: Edward Bernays quote Though the quote is accurate, thumbs down because he destroyed the American Middle class. He also had Goebbels as a student.... And of course Madison Avenue.... his uncle knew well the mind of fools..... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/17/16 re: Frederic Bastiat quote That's not exactly how the first quote reads - in actual fact, this quote is contrary to the first..... 3Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/17/16 re: Frederic Bastiat quote If you left Life, Liberty, and Property up to Men there would be tyranny overnight as the strongest would survive... otherwise its back to the jungle..... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/15/16 re: Frederic Bastiat quote Timeless reason.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/13/16 re: Jeffrey R. Snyder quote Archer, you obviously didn't read my comment.. I did not say what you think I said.... As usual, misconstruing to fit your own agenda... 11Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/13/16 re: Jeffrey R. Snyder quote After Orlando this will be a highly contentious issue - personally I think people should be allowed to protect themselves and their families. What is wrong are the procedures that allow known criminals and terrorist's the same requirements for possessing firearms.. This gunman was interviewed three times by the FBI he was also a transporter of immigrants - my final response to this horrific massacre will be on hold until more information is uncovered.. 3 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/13/16 re: James Madison quote Is that not the reason for a constitution and a bill of rights... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/8/16 re: Bertrand Russell quote BR, I couldn't have said it better - Problem, Reaction, Solution - Love it! and they get away with it every time! Why are the masses so blind? 2 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/8/16 re: Alexander Solzhenitsyn quote Yes, well, I think America has just topped the soviet Union with the most lies. our whole government now is ONE big lie.... And the people don't give a dam ... We lie about wars, we lie about 911, we lie about elections, we lie about socialism, we lie about Capitalism, and we lie about everything else. America is in for a reality check and they deserve it! 12Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/7/16 re: Anna Ebeling quote The American health system is riddle with corruption just like our government and just as ineffective. The US health system ranks one of the worse in the West - I think about number 27 Even Thailand has a better health system. The French state run health system is probably one of the best in the world. followed by Ireland and Sweden. I France my ER bill was $125 My friend in Thailand had a bad rash and was seen in a Bangkok hospital the same day he walk in and by a dermatologist, the bill $140 and that included his medications. The Health care system in the US is ONLY for the rich and those who have health insurance through their employment. Please do your home work before commenting... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/7/16 re: Frederic Bastiat quote Well, that's how it should be but in this world beneficial to others is rarely seen.... as many who prosper forget only to soon a fair exchange. 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/3/16 re: Alexander Solzhenitsyn quote Both socialism and capitalism in there extremes are an abomination. I hope that no one present will suspect me of offering my personal criticism of the Western system to present socialism as an alternative. Having experienced applied socialism in a country where the alternative has been realized, I certainly will not speak for it. The well-known Soviet mathematician Shafarevich, a member of the Soviet Academy of Science, has written a brilliant book under the title Socialism; it is a profound analysis showing that socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit and to a leveling of mankind into death.Alexander Solzhenitsyn 2Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/2/16 re: George Bernard Shaw quote This is to be taken with the humor it was meant and as usual GBS comes up with the goods. As for is reality, that's another question. The dichotomy in his play "Major Barbara" (1905) of providing for the poor through food or ammunition's is excellent! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/30/16 re: Frederic Bastiat quote There are those wishing to end this presumptive nature of man...and fate willing, we shall have our day..... 1Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/27/16 re: Joseph Paul Goebbels quote A comment without intelligence - such was the teaching of Edward Bernays. There maxim: It is the end result that matters regardless how you get there. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/27/16 re: Robert G. Ingersoll quote Well, that means the whole of Corporate American is dishonest... including the vast majority of its political puppets.. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/23/16 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote We need an economy for everyone not just the rich:https://www.facebook.com/senatorsanders/photos/a.91485152907.84764.9124187907/10154811485967908/?type=3&theater Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/23/16 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote Mary, you are so wrong: The rape and pillage that capitalism has perpetrated in the US people is so blatant - America suffers from cognitive dissonance, if they think they are in a society that cares for its people. Most Americans have paid into the welfare system and are being paid back on their investment. And as for generosity of the American people - you must be joking - America has one of the worse records in the west for providing help to offset minimum wage and providing financial assistance to those in need. I see you very wisely skirt my argument with regards to the Military, government and corporate America being the biggest, by far, of a socialist system. Over 50 percent of our tax dollar goes on the military Industrial complex, we have politicians now becoming billionaires, we corruption rife within our government, we have invaded the sovereignty of other nations, we have caused the death of millions because of greed and the pillage of resources, and you have the nerve to say all this is because people are unlawful and simperingly dependent on a government welfare system - what a hypocrite you are. If we relied on the generosity of the people the poverty that is currently rampant in the US would be even greater. I suggest I am the true patriot and you madam need a history lesson.... I just hope for your sake and the rest of America (and the world) that Bernie becomes the next President otherwise you may need somewhere in Europe....
