From a totalitarian's perspective, it makes perfect sense. The reverse is applied politics; when men are not allowed to think freely about political philosophy, chemistry and biology become accepted 'ONLY' within state parameters. Welcome to Amerika.

I have a close friend that is a chemist. In his specific endeavor he said he can believe the periodic chart from high school but most everything after that is well - - - um - - - sometimes almost close - maybe? He says any books he gets on his specialty, prior to the 19 hundreds are much more accurate. Then, all the newest advances are kept private by the discovering company.
