I think that if this was said by Martin Luther king, or perhaps somebody in world history that the Anonymous poster found admirable He would praise this Very true and accurate quote!

Reichstag, 9/11, Murrah Bldg, etc., etc., etc. have all been great political weapons. 5 stars for accuracy, a thumbs down for accuracy - you know what I mean.

Fear is an evil weapon when used against the innocent.

Fear is the great control mechanism. Everyone from dictators like Stalin and Hitler to fundamentalist preachers have used it to control people. Keep 'em scared and they won't get out of line.

Further to that thought and from the same school of thinking...“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” ~ Hermann Goering ...Look familiar to you? It should.

How I remember arguing with others why we should not go into Iraq. Others believed Bush's terror tactics and would argue how we must go in and get those WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION that were not there. They really actually believed Bush-where I could only see another Vietnam.

    E Archer, NYC

The words 'terrorism' and 'terrorist' are so flippantly used day and night by the talking heads and the press that their meanings have become catch-alls for justifying any new power grab. The 'war on terrorism' is oxymoronic, illogical, and a total mind-f*ck. War is terrorism. Fear mongering is terrorism, by its very definition. With all these new laws and a constant state of national emergency, If someone is scared by something you say or do, you are a 'terrorist.' The entire police state is predicated on this illusion of 'security' and that we must be 'secured' from 'fear' -- from fear! Forget about courage -- if you are afraid, then it is the government's job to make you not afraid. And yet, intimidating the public is the number one job of 'law enforcement.' It is not hard to see how those that our military bomb year after year see the US as the terrorists -- and Americans are starting to feel terrorized by their government. Whatever happened to habeas corpus? Gone. Private property rights? Gone. Forced vaccination, giving psychoactive and untested drugs to kids in public schools because they are rejecting their programming, cops all over the place with the ability to arrest us for anything -- heck, even asking them by what statute and act they are operating under is 'suspicious' -- they have even been prepped to be wary of those who mention the word 'Constitution.' We've been sold a bill of goods -- and we just lap this crap up on the TV every day. They don't call it television programming for nothing.

    J Carlton, Calgary

    Well said Archer.

I wholeheartedly agree with E Archer. These are the tactics that have been implemented by the politicians and used against the people of the USA for many years now.

as is happening right now with the threat of 'covid-19'. When people are on their knees, begging the Governments for protection & the pittance of a global monetary benefit, they will do anything. But what those in power do not foresee, is that once we as nations have nothing left to lose (our families, businesses, liberties and freedom of speech) then we have NOTHING left to lose & the Governments had better watch their backs.

We see much the same ideas coming from the White House now.

    warren, olathe

Yep, he used terrorism very well to drive his people and those he conquered. Fortunately we have not had leaders to do this yet. As for the press, they do not call terrorists terrorists. You have to be really bad, much worse than a terrorist to be called a terrorist by the press. Maybe like a tea party member or something like that.

    warren, olathe

Cal. You should have been paying attention to all that came out of Iraq. The "he has no weapons of mass destruction' was a tactic to keep the insurgents from knowing what we had found and were keeping under wraps. Continuing reports of mustard and nerve gas being found were shelved and not heard more than once for each discovery that was leaked out. No telling how much was actually found. I was totally confused by this because most presidents would have been making a big deal about it to justify his actions. Bush did not. It did not become clear till April of 2008 when Iraq sold Canada 550 metric tons of weapons grade uranium to be converted for reactor use. It was obvious that protecting these things from falling into the wrong hands was more important to Bush than the political fall out that resulted from hiding them and pretending that they did not exist. If you had been paying attention you would have known this. He had every thing he needed to build nukes. He had the plans, the trigger material, and the yellow cake. We dodged a very big bullet. Thank god you were not making the decisions. Thank god we had someone with the integrity and wisdom to do the right thing in the White House at the right time. I shudder to think what could have happened if Gore, Clinton, or Jimmy had been in a position to make those decisions. I have no doubt what would have happened if Obama was in that position. He would have sat on his hands.

Adolph Hitler is my hero. If he was alive today he would put all diploma mills out of business and jail the operators, where they will be sodomized by negroes.

This is a fake quote, Hitler did not say that. It seems that no matter the issue, someone will whip out a fake Hitler quote to smear the other guy. How ridiculous is it that each of our recent presidents, regardless of their political positions, have been labeled a Nazi or fascist by their political opponents? Does anyone know what a fascist is anymore, or is it just a synonym for someone who you disagree with? Also, not everything the Nazis and other fascist governments did was wrong. What's that? You want to build a highway? The Nazis built highways! Ever hear of the autobahn you Nazi?! One last thing, the Reichstag fire was not a Nazi conspiracy. It was done by a communist named Marinus Van Der Lubbe.
