This is the very crux of why the People must remain financially independent of government. While the attempt was made to balance the powers of government with branches for Executive, Legislative, and Judicial administration, the cost for bringing any case to trial still is the barrier for justice. You have to have millions to bring a Constitutional argument before the Supreme Court, and even then, it is up to only a few people that were hired for their party affiliations. Thus, apropos to the quote, the justice system is controlled by the government that hires/pays the judges. When has the Supreme Court ever ruled against the government's over-reach of the federal jurisdiction?
