I think those 3 quotes accurately describe the problems that we face today. Here is one more by "benevolent" Benito "What is the life of one in the affairs of state?" after his car struck and killed a child,

Right wing fascist pig! Last night I heard that a far right organization in Italy has offered a substantial dollar prize to anyone who would name their child after this guy.

Bush or Obama could have given this quote. It is the same lying rhetoric which empowered Mussolini that has put in place the/its/his brother government in the USS of Amerika. Fascism and Socialism do not find the need as much as they create the need, the right, the enemy, etc. in the dulled minds of their happy slave supporting patrons to implant tyranny. The despotic coordination of such corporative systems gives due weight and divergent interests to prideful ignorance, tyranny, compelled compliance, license, governmental larceny (funny money, theft of the once noble labor's fruit, elimination of allodial freehold, etc.), victimless crimes, etc., etc., etc.

Right out of the play book of today's GOP, the champions of today's fascist corporate socialism, backed by an unhealthy dose of radical religious fanaticism.

jim k, austin

Benito and Adolph were not "rightwingers", they were leftists.

Waffler, Smith, Arkansas

You are wrong Jim. Right and left of course are only relative terms. In Europe the communists were the left and the Nazi's and Fascists were the right. Nazism worked hand in hand with the corporate elites. The communists killed the corporate elites. If you researched it I think you will find that the west, France, England and the US aided and abetted these guys in the early years '20s-'30s just because they spouted anti-communist rhetoric. The Communist Russian mantra was "international socialism", these guys the Nazi's and fascists spouted "national socialism" but they were steadfastly in league with the corporate industrial complex.

Excuse me but fascism is a form of socialism and much more along the lines of Democratic (sic) rhetoric. Nationalizing various private industries (like energy companies) is what the leftists in Congress have been crying for. Get it right: the far right wing is not fascist as much as it is totalitarian and imperialistic. Whenever a political party values making government more powerful rather than protecting individual rights, we are heading into the direction of Authoritarianism of the left or right.

Anon from Reston, I'm with you if your radical religious fanaticism is broad enough to include secular re-definements and the humanist's theocracy that is now being implemented, you include Obama's bombers that are preparing to obliterate the last vestiges of a free society, and it is understood that there are 2 sides of the coin - GOP on one side, Democrats on the other.

For a study of left wing and right wing in Europe research the Spanish Civil War, The right wing guys under Franco were funded and supplied with weapons by Mussolini and Hitler. The freely elected Republican-Socialists they were called fought these thugs for 3 or 4 years. Franco won and sided with Hitler during WWII.

Do not confuse what was called right and left in Europe and what is right and left in the USA. Any thing that is bad will eventually be termed right wing. The German right wing of WW2 is to the left of today’s DEM's in the USA. You will find very little difference in political philosophy when you compare them. Same tactics. Same objectives. We are seeing applied by slow encroachment rather than all of a sudden as it came to be in Germany. In our country those that fight against it are called right wingers and fascists. Problems are created for the sole purpose of blaming them on the political opposition. Any attempts at correcting the problems are met with shouts of "trying to starve the children" or "wanting to kick old people out on the street" and so forth. The names change but the song remains the same. If the quote were to read Liberalism ... instead of Fascism... waffler would love it. Instructive quote.

Waffler, Smith, Arkansas

Fascism is totalitarian in its intent, the word is based on the Faces or the "stick". Whoever holds the speaking "stick" has the right to dictate. Socialism is not dictatorial or totalitarian in intent but due to its nature of being a consensus may seem that way to some. The same with democracy or the 51% rule. I am glad that we live in a consensus society in America, the consensus changes from election to election but no one holds onto the Faces and dictates forever and ever.

I think this quote is just right for people who dont understand about the unity of the state

If any of you idiots knew anything you would know that this sounds exactly like the things HILLARY CLINTON says in "It Takes a Village" her book. And, Mussolini was no right winger.he was for womens sufferage, abolishment of nobility, abolishment of the stock market, child labor laws, redistribution of wealth, 8 hour work day and minimum wage. yeah, sounds real right wing. read a book you idiots.

In America, They are all leftists systems. Collectivism is left wing. Individualism is right. Or total govt on left, no govt on right. Bush went collectivist, left. Obama is the same just in similar and different ways. Collectivism is religion forced on non-consenting individuals. That sounds like Obama (and Bush) today... National socialist control property without nationalizing it. They nationalize humans instead. Same socialistic principles.

it's hard to learn anything on Mussolini when progressives like you are hard at work erasing history. fascism IS the best form of government ever created and it would just take a bit of learning on the matter for anyone to see the light. Benito Mussolini was a true genius. fascism never failed... it was destroyed... please refrain from being a liberal IDIOT! hahaha!!!

Patrick Henry, Red Hill

Absolutism is absolutism, odious and pathological in all of its ideological guises.

In practice, Fascism is the reverse of the fanatical coin of which Communism is the reverse.
