Yes we are substantially a nation of whiners. Take the deficit and tyhe debt. When Clinton was running surplusses his crazy Repulican friends complained "That surplus is the peoples money" well the debt and the deficit is the people's and we all need to wake up to it and quit being so soft!

We need to stop involving ourselves in the left / right paradigm of blaming the other side. It's childish at best, suicidal at worst. And Waffler, suggesting that the debt is the "peoples" debt is absurd. The debt and deficits run up by an out of control government using a phoney currency "fractional reserve" system is more a ponzi scheme than legitimate debt...and we're being extorted to pay this artificial bill.

Let the weak not vote, for they prefer handouts to solutions.

Because the statist theocracy that infests this land is not a Constitutional representative republic 'of, by, or for' 'We The People' (as exemplified by the industrial nationalizations, legislative enlargement and executive enforcement of the courts claim that government has inherent right in toto aloof from We The People, the issuance of titles of nobility - licensing, and as elaborated by the late Joseph Sobran, "The Constitution is no threat to the current government", etc., etc., etc.) any debts uncured thereby do not inure to We The People but rather, We The People are dummied down and enslaved to pay such. The courages (contrary to too soft) work to throw-off the prideful ignorance, governmentally endorsed criminal activities, the slave masters, corporatism's bankers, compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity (inclusive of Keynesian economics, theft by devaluing funny money, theft of the noble labor's fruits, etc.), and all forms of unlawful (that which is contrary to natural law) governance.

I don't know what the Waffler is smoking but he has his facts totally backwards. It was the Republican dominated House and Senate who created the surplus just as they had promised in their "Pledge to America" in 1994. Clinton wisely saw that he had no choice but to sign the necessary bills. It was the DemocRATs who screamed and hollered about how school children were going to starve because of "cuts" in the budget. We also heard horror stories of little old grandmothers who were forced to eat cat food to have enough money for their medications. All was subsequently proved to be bunk. It turned out the the Repupblicans weren't cutting anything from the budget but were increasing it. Somehow the DemocRATs figured that because increases of entitlements by 10 percent instead of the 20 percent they wanted, it was considered to be a "cut" in the budget! We (both sides of the aisles) know how to cut waste and reduce spending to manageable levels, but when the right tries, the left screams bloody murder. So far we haven't seen the left try to cut waste and reduce spending so we don't know how the right would react. I can only imagine there would be dancing in the streets. I expect when the Republicans take over sans the "moderate progressives", we are going to hear a lot of screaming, moaning and gnashing of teeth from the left.

Stop expecting government to solve our problems -- they are the cause of most of the social ills. Take some g-d responsibility!
