Would one of our constitutional scholars please enlighten me? Reply Mike, Norwalk 1/5/07 EGL, I'm with you, I need to be enlightened also. Reply A.Jurgensen, Stuart, FL 1/5/07 Apparently we may assume that the executive has 'certain' information to which Congress is not privvy. Besides, the Constitution DOES say that the president has as one of his duties to 'preserve, protect and DEFEND the Constitution of the United States". And that's about it. Valid? Hmmm Reply Logan, Memphis, TN 1/5/07 The United States has not "officially" been at war since WWII; that is, Congress has not declared "war", the President(s) just usurped the power and sent our boys to fight under certain "operations". An "operation" really isn't a "war", ya know? So, in reality, we're really not at "war" in Iraq... It's just an "operation" we're finishing out on. = ) Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 1/5/07 Congress and people in power ignore the Constitution. Obviously, they were already ignoring it 150 years ago! Reply E Archer, NYC 1/5/07 We the People must reclaim control over our servant government. Keeping the nation under a constant state of emergency (since 1934) is a con that allows the president to issue all kinds of orders that were supposed to be reserved for times of attack (not exuses to invade foreign nations). We must remember who the boss really is (not the president). Reply Byron, Fort Collins 6/30/11 2012's should be an interesting election. We must carefully choose a Republican candidate who is a person of substance, who has done things besides run for office. Herman Cain comes to mind, as does Tim Pawlenty. I'm tired of Obama's fiats, and of his end runs around Congress. Can you imagine what that Narcissist will do if elected for a second term? Our first duty as Americans is to oust Obama in 2012. It allows the owners of the central banks, by proxy, to confiscate the assets of the conquered. And it all gets done under the guise of bringing "Democracy" to places like Libya and Yemen...who are not yet under the umbrella of the IMF. Its absolute Bull Sh*t and we get to sacrifice our children to it in the name of "Patriotism". I say that one of these days we will have ground troops in Libya. Remember Viet Nam, It started when JFK sent some "advisers" over there. Reply Kimo, H.N 6/30/11 somebody forgot to tell nobama Reply Dave Wilber, St. Louis 7/1/11 There would be no wars if wars required taxes. We cannot pay taxes with dollar bills that the IRS (Imaginary Revenue Scum) said : "are not dollars" or with credit, The federal Reserve said their system of plunder "works (us) only with credit" that would keep its value "if there were fewer people bidding against each other," We cannot pay taxes with anything less than silver coins but our conquerors removed all of our silver coins from banks. NO ONE wants us to pay taxes, our misleaders want us to believe that we pay taxes. If we believe that we have paid taxes, we then we believe we have less money to sppend.
