The mantra of a pioneer is a stark contrast from the mantra of politicians: Check to where the wind doth blow and then in that direction go.

(-; yes, I like it ;-) "Be always sure your're right" has been replaced with, 'well, I haven't read it, somebody in the party tell me how to vote.'

I wish I could 'be always sure I'm right' ...
