Love it! we all tend to read, so to discourse. It reminds me of the story told to a little girl in class when asked what she remembers said nothing, but when asked again several years later remembered much of the story.

Hey we need more stars for this one! I have many friends and acquaintances that only watch Fox because they like that it contradicts and cofuteds what they don't like. Some of them even admit that it is mostly BS but they still like it because it does those two things. Carlton is on the right track today,

Waffler, I like Fox news because Shepard Smith does a better job of presenting the news and mixees in a lot less less left-wing spin. And Fox News tends not to shy away from stories that make the Obama administration look bad, which these days is any time they try to do anything. I think you are confusing the popular right-wing opinion shows on Fox News with the nightly news program. Don't worry, its a common mistake, and not as bad as those who think Keith Olbermann is a journalist.

No doubt he read, and learned from, a much earlier instruction from the writings of the Hebrew Prophet Isaiah, or Esaias, "Study to show thyself approved unto G-d." Excellent advice from both, I think.

As for the quote, it would appear that Bacon thought little of colleges, where more often than not one is asked to either believe and take for granted or talk and discourse, but rarely to weigh and consider.

They that deny a God destroy man's nobility; for certainly man's of kin to the beasts by his body; and if he be not of kin to God by his spirit; he is a base and ignoble creature....Sir Francis Bacon, "Of Atheism"
