Frank Hague Quote

“You never hear about constitutional rights, free speech, and the free press. Every time I hear those words I say to myself, “That man is a Red, that man is a communist.” You never hear a real American talk like that.”

~ Frank Hague

Frank Hague was one twisted unit. This quote is the opposite of what Americanism means.

Obviously he didn't just fail American History he skipped class entirely

I hear that about our current President and all liberals all the time around the state I live in.

While attempting to pose as a helot or serf caste, I think he's trying to enforce, through childish reverse psychology or some other form of demented propaganda, a mind set that the every day, dummied down, stupid American doesn't concern himself with such matters, only communists talk of rights.

It amazes me that the same people that would flee the old aristocracy of Europe would institute a new and in many cases even more corrupt government when they arrived here in America. A strong case can be made for not letting new immigrants congregate in cities too long, lest the cities become that which the immigrants escaped.

This gives us deep insight into the core of the crusade by the ruling class in the US and A to turn their republic into a dictatorship. The establishment of the Federal Reserve was the first step. Steps towards this languished during some periods and given its ebb and flow dependent on the nation's barometer at the time. But never did it make greater strides during the Reagan/Bush years. The final nail in democracy's coffin came with George W. Now there's just a few loose ends to tie up. Obama has been ham-strung to the point of appearing as a lame-duck do-nothing president. The need of immediate magic-bullet solutions will not allow him to perform the repairs desperately needed to heal that fractured and wounded nation.

L Hanson, very revealing comment. How pleased you must be with yourself as an elitist and otherwise illuminated communist. How grand it is to be among the pridefully ignorant, believing a lie when the truth would serve so well. You are somewhat accurate though, Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin has had to change his immoral, unlawful, and unconstitutional focus some.

warren, olathe

I think he has a point. Almost every time I see someone screaming those things they are in fact a leftist. I do not think he meant that the ideas are leftist just those that constantly invoke them. It is the left's way of using the constitution against itself.

Hague was a corrupt Democrat politician of the first half of the 20th century, who ran the Democrat political machine in New Jersey and had a huge influence in the Democrat political machine in the United States until 1949. This isn't just my opinion, have a look at Wikipedia's entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_hague It's not surprising then, that that he would find talk of rights and freedom offensive, since they threatened his hold on political power. This isn't a "liberty quote" but a "tyranny quote" and think it should be on a site of that name, instead of one espousing liberty.

Real, America

Warren, kill yourself.
